Antenatal class doesn't just cover vaginal birth. Births can go one of many directions, and some mothers have already decided to have a caesarean and it's important that this choice is supported as well. Understanding caesarean birth and how to recover well from it, is large part of my course.

Another review in. This mum achieved a positive spontaneous vaginal birth, using the comfort measures we discussed in the class as well as gas and air. She felt strongly that attending the course prepared her for birth, for interacting with care providers and in becoming part of the decision making process.
