Will hot weather melt your dermal filler? ☀️💉

It’s a question I was asked during the recent heatwave… and let’s be brutally honest… the short answer is NO ❌

A patient recently messaged us worried that the high temperatures and an upcoming holiday might cause her dermal filler to melt, move or dissolve more quickly!

Thankfully, that’s simply a myth 👏

Dermal filler is incredibly stable and isn’t affected by normal summer temperatures or the heat you experience on holiday. Whether you’re enjoying the sunshine in Ireland or heading abroad, your filler isn’t going to melt or disappear because of the weather!

The only advice we do give 👉 plan your treatment at least two weeks before travelling. This allows any swelling or bruising to fully settle so you can head off feeling confident and looking refreshed
