If you think maintaining your health is expensive, try illness.
Looking after your body doesn’t have to mean a fancy gym membership or a fridge full of green juice. A lot of it comes down to the basics, and hydration is the one most of us get wrong without noticing.
Water is only part of the picture. Every time you sweat, sit in air con all day, catch a flight or have a few drinks, you lose fluid along with important minerals like sodium, potassium and magnesium.
These minerals are what your body uses to keep fluid where it needs to be. Magnesium also contributes to normal muscle function and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue. When you run low, you feel it in the afternoon slump, the headache you put down to stress, or the workout that felt twice as hard as it should have.
