Waterford Leader Partnership CLG is delighted to support the fantastic “Walk in My Shoes” exhibition by the Dungarvan Traveller Health Project.

This inspiring exhibition celebrates Traveller Pride, Culture, Heritage, Family, Identity, Community, Tradition, Resilience and Connection through a series of creative art pieces designed and produced by members of the Traveller community.

The project highlights the importance of understanding, inclusion and recognising the rich contribution that the Traveller community makes to life in Waterford. The creativity, skill and personal stories reflected in each piece encourage us all to take a moment to “walk in someone else’s shoes” and see the world from a different perspective.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful exhibition to life. We are proud to support initiatives that promote equality, respect, community participation and cultural awareness.

The exhibition is on display at Dungarvan Library, and all are encouraged to visit and experience this powerful celebration of Traveller identity and pride.

Dungarvan Traveller Community Health Project wish to share our deep and heartfelt condolences to Scarlett Faulkner's loved ones, and her six-year-old daughter.
We would like to also recognise her sister Barbara and family here in Dungarvan who we send our deepest condolences to on their devasting loss.
We hope that the love and solidarity they receive now will be some solace to them as they come to terms with this terrible loss.
Women, everywhere, deserve to live free of violence.

East Cork Traveller Project are recruiting a Traveller Youth Liaison Worker
(Community Safety Fund)
The Traveller Youth Liaison Worker will engage Traveller young people ( 12- 18 years old) through early intervention, prevention and diversion-focused youth work, contributing to community safety outcomes and positive engagement with education, family and community supports.
The role is 21 hours per week, and is a 2-year post.
Salary: €25,288
