The RNLI, Galway Lifeboat Station will be open from 11am to 4pm on 20th Sept for young and old to come and visit the station, get to see our boat up close and meet some of the crew. With loads more to see around the docks for the day!

Slightly different type of training for me this past year! 👩🏻‍🚒🚒

It’s been a busy year of learning, challenges and plenty of hands-on experience with the Fire Service.

With now working as a firefighter I am looking forward to bringing those real-life experiences back into my First Aid, CPR and First Responder courses — keeping training practical, engaging and relevant. 😊

Thanks to Donoghues of Galway for having me in today to cover first aid training with staff members. A great day with some of their driver, all walking away feeling more prepared and confident if something may happen while at work. Well done to all participants!

Invitation to our Open Day on Sunday from 11am to 4pm…

Visit the station, see the lifeboat and meet the crew. All welcome!

There will be displays from the search and rescue agencies in Galway, RNLI water safety advice, display of the lifeboat schools' art competition entries, a pop-up shop and hopefully Stormy Stan will drop by..

And lots more maritime fun in the surrounding area as part of the Galway Docklands Festival.
