Friday Stretch time again 🙌🙌 Aiming at opening up the hips and also freeing tension in the fascia and connective tissue with a rotation. Definitely give this a try… it might surprise you have restricted you are and make you aware of differences left to right!

There’s usually a fear underneath the pain that nobody says out loud.

Most women who come to me aren’t just dealing with the physical discomfort. There’s something underneath it.

They’ve watched someone — a parent, an aunt — move through their later years shaped by pain. Smaller. More careful. Less able.

That’s the fear. Not the sore back. The future.
I’m here to say that future isn’t fixed. The tissue responds to the right work. The earlier you address it, the more of your life you protect.

Pain is not simply part of getting older.

“Sitting is the new smoking.”
But is it really sitting that’s the problem?

You’ve probably heard it. And there’s truth in it — but it’s not the whole story.

The problem isn’t sitting. Most of us have to sit. The problem is sitting without moving. Staying in one position for hours at a time, the same tissues holding the same load, with nothing to break the pattern.

The hip flexors shorten. The glutes switch off. The thoracic spine stiffens. And the body quietly adapts around all of it — until the adaptation becomes the problem.

A two-minute walk every hour does more for your tissue than a gym session three times a week if you’re sitting still for everything in between.

It’s not about sitting less. It’s about moving more often.

Feel the fear and do it anyways has kinda been my life motto but I still get nervous speaking no matter what 😅 plus it caused me to reflect again today … life throws wobblers all the time but small steps forwards will get you there! I’m proof of that - sold house, moved county’s, moved houses twice, set up business with no clients in between nap times and kept tipping away! Still a bit off where I plan to be but slowly getting closer ❤️
