Milly Daisy does this sometimes – holds you in her attention like she’s reading something. The rest of the world is too loud to hear.

I stopped trying to explain it.

There’s a reason people arrive here skeptical and lee saying something shifted.

The horses aren’t doing tricks. They’re not performing.

They’re just being themselves, and that sometimes the most disarming thing in the world.

Our little Bandit 🤎

Born Monday, September 28th, on a (surprisingly) warm September morning, under the Aries moon and the sun.

A surprise from beginning to end.
A shot in the dark. (Name perhaps?)
A little life we didn’t see coming — and somehow, exactly the one meant to arrive.

Perfect. Strong. Wildly beautiful.

He came into the world with that unmistakable Bandit spirit, reminding us once again that the best things don’t always arrive according to plan.

Welcome, little one.
We’re so glad you’re here. 🐴🤎

Are you standing at a threshold?
When what was no longer fits,
but what comes next isn’t clear.

2 — LISTEN
What is your body telling you?
Before you explain it.
Before you make sense of it.
Pause. Notice.

3 — UNCERTAINTY
What if you don’t need the answer yet?
Uncertainty can be an invitation
to slow down, listen
and become curious.

4 — BOUNDARIES
What happens when you say no?
Can you feel the boundary
before you explain it?

5 — PERFORMING
Who are you when you stop performing?
When you don’t have to be
agreeable, capable or fine.

6 — CHOICE
You are allowed to change your mind.
Pause.
Reassess.
Step closer.
Step back.

7 — CURIOSITY
What if your uncertainty has something to tell you?
Instead of “What should I do?”
Try:
“What am I noticing?”

8 — IN THE FIELD
You don’t need horse experience.
No riding.
No expertise.
Just curiosity.

9 — GROWTH
What if growth doesn’t mean pushing harder?
Maybe it looks like
slowing down, listening, feeling, responding.

10 — BEGIN
You don’t have to know what’s next.
You may simply know
that something needs to change.

You can begin there.

Layers. Awareness. Choice.

We move through life carrying layers.

Old patterns.
Protective responses.
Beliefs about who we are.
Ways we learned to stay safe, connected, accepted, or in control.

Often, we don’t even realise we’re carrying them.

Somatic practice gives us an opportunity to slow down enough to notice.

Not just what we’re thinking, but what is happening in the body.

A tightening.
A holding of the breath.
A leaning forward.
A pulling away.
A familiar impulse to say yes when something in us is saying no.

Awareness creates a little space between the sensation and the response.

And in that space, there can be choice.

Not the choice to force ourselves into a different response, but the choice to become curious.

Is this actually what I want?
Is this mine?
Is this an old pattern?
What happens if I pause?
What would feel more true right now?

This is where change can begin.

Not by peeling away every layer or trying to become someone new.

But by becoming aware of what is already there — and having enough space to choose how we meet it.

Awareness gives us options.
Choice gives us agency.
The body gives us information. The horses create the mirror.

That is the work. 🐎
