The peaceful death has occurred of Margaret Martin (née Gallagher), at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Neil.

She will be sadly missed by her brother Charlie, sisters-in-law Maureen and Róise, her children Catherine, Mary, Hughie, Philomena, Bernie, John and Corney, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Margaret’s remains will repose at her residence, Bunnington , Glenvar (F92TH73) from 6:00pm today, Tuesday 17th February.

Funeral will arrive to St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Glenvar (F92D897) on Thursday 19th February at 2:00pm for requiem Mass followed by Burial in Glenvar Cemetery.

Rosary on both evenings at 9:00pm.

Cathal’s father Charlie; mother Ann ,sisters; Marie, Donna, Laura, Sharon, Megan and Raychel; brothers; Kevin and Eoghan. Son Caolan and daughter Caitlyn and the entire family circle wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with them in their recent sad loss.

Thanks to the Gardaí and Ambulance service for their quick response. A Special thanks to Fr. Martin Collum for his spiritual comfort and prayers while offering up Cathal’s last rites. Thank you to Patrick Sweeney for his care and compassion in transporting Cathal to hospital. Our appreciation also to Tommy Mc Ginty for his services and the use of his Funeral Home for family.

Thank you to Fr. Stephen Gorman for the heartfelt funeral mass and rosary in the house, also thanks to Fr. Lorcan Sharkey for his support and guidance and to the sacristan, Liam Murphy.
Thankyou to Cilla Black for her lovely musical contribution to the Funeral mass.
Thanks to our grave digger; Corney Martin, with the help of friends for preparing the grave so beautifully for Cathal.
Thankyou to Dessie Mc Gettigan for supplying soup and sandwiches after the Funeral and to the amazing Community for setting up the hall, Supplying refreshments and catering to everyone, it was a great comfort to us.
To everyone who sent mass cards, messages and phone calls of sympathy and to everyone who attended Cathal’s reposal, Funeral and burial, it means so much to us.
Thanks to Dunleavy Funeral Directors for their strength and professionalism at this difficult time.
We will be eternally grateful to our kind neighbours, Friends and the whole community who brought food and helped to cater in the house and helped with traffic control.
To Our wonderful Outstanding Family and extended Family, we wholeheartedly appreciate your support, Kindness and shoulders to lean on, as we all navigate through this tragic loss.
We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation and gratitude to all concerned.

A Month’s mind mass for Cathal will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Star Of The Sea Church, Glenvar on Saturday 16th November at 6.00pm.

Cathal, predeceased by his grandparents and his Granny Kathleen, cousin Calum and friend Liam.

Adored son of Charlie & Mother Ann and much-loved brother of Marie, Donna, Kevin, Laura, Sharon, Megan, Raychel & Eoghan.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken father & his mother , siblings, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandad Anton, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence today Monday from 8pm (F92cr94), funeral to arrive to Saint Mary’s Star of the sea Church, Glenvar (F92d897) for funeral mass at 11am on Wednesday 23rd of October, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
