Another great testimonial for Flynn Genealogy Services ! Thanks Colleen.

‘I would recommend your services to anyone wishing to research their Irish heritage. It was very extensive, catering for the specific needs of the client, which you did for me in the break-up of costs. This allowed me to choose the areas that were more important for my specific purpose, thus allowing me to choose how much I was prepared to spend. The services you provided were always well documented and informative and prompt where possible.’

“Tracing your Irish Ancestors: A Three-step Guide”: genealogist Brian Mitchell offers a fascinating starting point for anyone hoping to uncover more about their Irish roots. 💚
These records can reveal where your ancestors lived, how families moved across Ireland, and even the townland or parish your family once called home.

The 1901, 1911 and 1926 Census Returns can help uncover names, ages, occupations and birthplaces, while birth, marriage and death records may help you trace generations through the decades. Going back even further, church registers, gravestone inscriptions and land records like Griffith’s Valuation can offer rare glimpses into life in Ireland before widespread civil registration.

Brian Mitchell’s guide also highlights a number of incredibly useful resources for Irish family history research, including tools for exploring surnames, parishes and townlands across Ireland.

We have two excellent speakers with contrasting topics on early modern migration: WILLIAM ROULSTON, Research Director at the Ulster Historical Foundation, and MARIAN LYONS, Professor of History at Maynooth University.
William is highlighting Scottish migration to Ireland (not just Ulster) in the seventeenth century, while Marian is looking at Irish merchants in France from 1630 to the eve of the French Revolution. These lectures will be a treat for genealogists and all sorts of historians.
This event is free but you will need to book at
