We are celebrating our first anniversary at RéNua Medical! Thank you to all our wonderful patients for your support throughout the year. We have worked hard to create a safe and supportive space thanks to our wonderful team: practice manager Jenny, secretaries Renata and Amanda, nurses Catherine and Breda.

I have a little hobby that I’ve been lucky to indulge in through local adult education courses in recent years. Can’t recommend the FET courses in Causeway with Tom Dillon highly enough. I love local history and I’ve always loved Denny Street in Tralee. I gather stories of people who lived there, including a lot of doctors who lived and worked there in times past. In a very male dominated field, I very much enjoyed coming across Dr. Georgina Revington who lived her life as a missionary doctor in Africa. I posted this a few months back. Anyway I’m extremely excited about the 1926 census being published on Saturday. I can’t wait to see how Tralee will have changed since the previous census of 1911.

The wait is almost over! ⏳

In just 4 days, the door to Ireland’s past swings wide open.
On 18 April, the 1926 Census will be released online, completely free and fully searchable for the first time ever!

As the first census of the newly founded Irish Free State, It’s a rare glimpse into life and society at the start of a new era for the island.

Whether you’re a total history buff or just curious about your parents or grandparents, keep up to date on the latest information on our website:

⏰ Set your reminders: you don’t want to miss this piece of history unfolding!

You’re never too old to live your dreams! I started learning the concertina over a year ago, with the sole aim of one day playing at the trad night in Bettys here in Tralee. Well last night I played there for the first time. As luck would have it, one of our patients was also playing and put me at my ease and helped with the nerves! First of many I hope. PS that’s me in the distance too far to hear or see my mistakes!

Some very special family time this weekend. Hope you all had a lovely Easter.
