Anxiety can feel like it comes out of nowhere — but often, it follows a pattern.

CBT, or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and behaviours.

It does not mean “just think positive.”
It means learning how to spot anxious patterns, question unhelpful thoughts, and take small steps that help you feel more in control.

At Fettle, we help match you with the right therapist for what you’re going through — whether that’s anxiety, stress, burnout, relationships, or something you’re still trying to understand.

Save this post for the next time anxiety feels overwhelming.✨
Share it with someone who might need a gentle reminder today.

Every week, we highlight areas where we can all struggle with our mental health. It’s important to remember that whatever it is you’re going through, it’s not unique, but it is treatable.

Look at the image below. It isn't a "crisis" in the traditional sense. It’s a person frozen by a simple choice. To anyone else, it’s just picking a cereal or an outfit. To them, it’s the straw that broke the camel's back.

This is Decision Fatigue. It happens when your mental load is so heavy that your "processing power" shuts down. It’s not laziness, and it’s not a lack of willpower, it’s a symptom of being profoundly overwhelmed.

If you find yourself stuck in these "frozen" moments more often than not, it might be time to unpack the weight you’re carrying. You don't have to wait for a total burnout to ask for a hand.

Your peace of mind starts with a conversation.

Every week, we highlight areas where we can all struggle with our mental health. First and foremost, it's important to remember that whatever it is you're going through, it's not unique, but it is treatable.

The woman in the image above is shaking her leg and her hands are tightly interlaced. Her body is "coiled," braced for a storm that isn't actually coming.

This is what unexplained overwhelm looks like. It’s a physical hum of anxiety that doesn't always have a clear "reason" or a specific "trigger." It’s just... there.

If you feel like you’re constantly on edge even when the room is quiet, please know that your nervous system is simply sending a signal. You don't have to wait for a crisis to start decoding what those signals mean.

Your peace of mind starts with a conversation.

Have you ever been in a situation like this?

Sometimes overwhelm doesn't feel like a racing heart, it can feel like nothing at all. If you’ve drifted into autopilot just to get through the day, you don’t have to stay there.

Therapy helps you reconnect with the room, the people in it, and yourself.

Let us help you at fettle.ie
