Many women feel more energetic and capable of movement around ovulation.
This can be a good time to explore:
- Dynamic flows
- Strength-building poses
- Balance poses
- Standing sequences
- Backbends (if they feel comfortable)
NOTE: higher motivation doesn’t mean unlimited capacity. Ovulation energy can make you feel invincible, which is exactly when it’s easiest to push past what your joints and ligaments are ready for. Listen for the difference between “energized” and “reckless.”
📌Ovulation doesn’t feel the same for every woman.
Some women feel stronger and more energetic, while others experience pain or discomfort.
👀 If ovulation is painful
If you’re experiencing ovulation pain, this may not be the best time for an intense practice.
- One-sided lower abdominal pain (depending on which o***y is ovulating)
- Mild or sharp, stabbing pain
- Can last anywhere from a few minutes to 24–48 hours
- Light spotting may also occur
- Bloating or lower abdominal tenderness
Than these tend to feel much better:
- Gentle hip-openings
- Breathing (Pranayama)
- Relaxing asanas
Yoga shouldn’t be the same every day.
It should be tailored to your body, your cycle, and your stage of life. What feels good on day 3 might feel completely wrong on day 14, and that’s not inconsistency, that’s your body giving you useful information.
