The Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Agra Branch, successfully organized a Workshop on Infectious Diseases *(ID MANTHAN)* at Hotel Bhawna Clarks Inn,Agra on 15/03/2026
The program was attended by a large number of pediatricians,postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals from the region.
The workshop focused on the latest updates in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of infectious diseases, which remain one of the most common causes of illness in children.
Expert faculty Dr Ashok Rai from Varanasi ,Dr Vivek Goswami from Noida ,Dr Rakesh Bhatia and Dr Sunil Agarwal delivered interactive sessions covering various infectious diseases,rational use of antibiotics, recognition of severe cases, vaccination strategies, and preventive care.Dr R N Dwivedi President AOP UP and Dr R N Sharma Executive member Central IAP also expressed their views on childhood infections.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Sanjeev Agarwal,President of IAP Agra, emphasized the importance of evidence-based management to reduce complications and resistance due to irrational drug use. Dr.Rahul Pengoria,Secretary of IAP Agra, highlighted the need for continuous medical education to keep practitioners updated with global guidelines.The program was coordinated by Dr Swati Dwivedi,Treasurer IAP Agra.
The workshop was well appreciated for its practical demonstrations, case discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions, which provided valuable insights to participants.
The IAP Agra Branch reaffirmed its commitment to conducting such academic activities regularly to enhance pediatric healthcare and awareness in the community.
