Your blood sugar can look “normal” while your body is already working harder behind the scenes. 👀
That’s one of the most important things to understand about insulin resistance.
When your cells become less responsive to insulin, your pancreas may compensate by producing more insulin to help move glucose into your cells.
For some time:
🩸 Blood glucose may still appear normal
⬆️ Insulin levels may already be elevated
🔑 Your cells may be responding less effectively to insulin
If this continues over time, blood glucose may eventually begin to rise.
That’s why understanding insulin resistance before blood sugar becomes high matters.
