đź”´ World Day Against Trafficking in Persons | 30 July

Human trafficking is a grave violation of human rights that leaves lasting physical, emotional, and psychological scars. Survivors often face trauma, anxiety, depression, social isolation, and an increased risk of self-harm and suicidal thoughts, making access to timely mental health care and psychosocial support essential.

On this World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, let us reaffirm our commitment to raising awareness, strengthening prevention, protecting survivors, and promoting dignity, justice, and recovery. Combating trafficking requires collective action—from governments, communities, healthcare professionals, educators, and every individual willing to speak up and act.

Every person deserves to live free from exploitation, fear, and violence. By recognizing the signs, supporting survivors with compassion, and advocating for their rights, we can help build safer communities where hope and healing are possible.

Raise awareness. Protect lives. Defend human dignity. Together, we can make a difference.

🤝 Friendship Saves Lives: The Power of Connection!!

On this International Day of Friendship, let's celebrate one of the most powerful protective factors for mental well-being—meaningful human connection.

A genuine friendship is more than shared laughter and memories. It creates a safe space where people feel heard, understood, and valued. During times of emotional distress, a simple message, a phone call, or spending a few moments with someone can provide hope and remind them that they are not alone.

Research consistently shows that strong social connections can reduce loneliness, encourage help-seeking, build resilience, and play a vital role in su***de prevention. Sometimes, reaching out doesn't require the perfect words—it only requires showing up with empathy, compassion, and a willingness to listen.

This Friendship Day, let's make a conscious effort to check in on those around us. Your kindness, your presence, and your friendship could make a life-changing difference.

One message. One call. One conversation. It could be the reason someone chooses hope. đź’›

đź’™ Early Detection Saves Lives | Stand Together on World Hepatitis Day!!

Healthy lives begin with informed choices. On World Hepatitis Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to raising awareness about viral hepatitis, promoting early testing, encouraging timely treatment, and supporting prevention through vaccination and safe healthcare practices.

Hepatitis often progresses silently, making awareness and early diagnosis critical to preventing severe liver disease and improving long-term health outcomes. By fostering informed communities and reducing stigma, we can ensure that more individuals access the care they need without fear or delay.

At N-SPRITE Centre, Department of Psychiatric Social Work, NIMHANS, we recognize that physical and mental health are deeply interconnected. Promoting overall well-being includes empowering individuals with accurate health information, encouraging help-seeking, and building healthier communities through education and compassion.

Together, let's work towards a future where hepatitis is prevented, detected early, and effectively treated.

🌟 Empowering the Next Generation: A Day of Meaningful Dialogue🌟

Mental health, addiction, socio-economic challenges, and single parenting—these are real, complex issues that shape the lives of today’s youth. Addressing them openly is the first step toward building a resilient community.

On July 24, 2026, the N-Sprite Centre,in collaboration with the Lions Club, Bengaluru District, conducted an impactful awareness session at Government PU College for Girls, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru.
