બિહારના રાજગીરમાં આયોજિત Asian Champions Trophyમાં ભારતીય મહિલા ટીમે ત્રિરંગો લહેરાવ્યો છે. અને ચીનને હરાવીને ત્રીજી વખત ટાઈટલ જીત્યું છે. ફાઇનલમાં ભારતે ચીનના ખેલાડીઓને એક પણ ગોલ કરવા ના દીધો અને તેમને 1-0થી હરાવ્યું.

દીપિકાએ ભારત માટે મેચનો એકમાત્ર ગોલ કર્યો, જે આ ટુર્નામેન્ટમાં તેમનો 11મો ગોલ હતો. તેમને પ્લેયર ઓફ ધ ટુર્નામેન્ટ તરીકે જાહેર કરવામાં આવી. ટૂર્નામેન્ટના ટોપ 6 ગોલ કરનારમાં 4 ભારતીય હતા, જેમાં દીપિકા નંબર વન પર છે.

ગયા વર્ષે રાંચીમાં અને 2016માં સિંગાપોરમાં આ ખિતાબ જીતનાર ભારતીય ટીમે જબરદસ્ત તાલમેલ અને ધૈર્ય દર્શાવ્યું હતું અને આ ટુર્નામેન્ટમાં 7 મેચ રમી હતી અને તે બધામાં જીત મેળવી.

આ સાથે અપરાજિત ભારતીય ટીમ સૌથી વધુ વખત વિમેન્સ એશિયન ચેમ્પિયન્સ ટ્રોફીનો ખિતાબ જીતનારી હોકી ટીમ બની ગઈ છે.

24 વર્ષની બિની મુદુલીએ તેના સમુદાયના પ્રથમ અધિકારી બનીને એક મહાન સિદ્ધિ હાંસલ કરી છે અને ઘણા લોકો માટે પ્રેરણા બની છે! ખાસ કરીને સંવેદનશીલ આદિવાસી જૂથમાંથી આવતી, બિનીએ ઘણી મુશ્કેલીઓને પાર કરીને આ સફળતા હાંસલ કરી છે. સ્વાભાવિક છે કે તેની સફર બિલકુલ સરળ ન હતી.

બિની મુદુલીનો જન્મ મલકાનગીરી જિલ્લાના ખેમાગુડા ગામમાં થયો હતો. તેના પિતા રામ મુદુલી મુદુલીપાડાની સરકારી હાઈસ્કૂલમાં રસોઈયા છે અને બીનીની માતા સુનામાલી, આંગણવાડી કાર્યકર છે. તેના માતા-પિતાના સમર્થનથી, બીનીએ ગામની સરકારી શાળામાં અભ્યાસ કર્યો અને પછી જવાહર નવોદય વિદ્યાલયમાં પ્રવેશ લીધો. આર્થિક સમસ્યાઓ હતી પણ માતા-પિતાએ તેમની દીકરીને બોટનીમાં પોસ્ટ ગ્રેજ્યુએશન પણ કરાવ્યું.

આ પછી તેને આયુર્વેદિક સહાયક તરીકે કામ કરવાનું શરૂ કર્યું અને સાથે જ ઓડિશા સિવિલ સર્વિસ પરીક્ષાની તૈયારી કરવાનું શરૂ કર્યું. બીની કહે છે, "મને ખબર હતી કે મારા માતા-પિતા મારી કોચિંગ પરવડી શકે તેમ નથી, પરંતુ મેં નક્કી કર્યું કે આ મારા સપનાને આડે નહીં આવે."

તેણે Youtube Video અને Online અભ્યાસ સામગ્રી સાથે તૈયારી કરવાનું શરૂ કર્યું; પરીક્ષાની વ્યૂહરચના શીખવા માટે ટોપર્સના વીડિયો જોયા. કોચિંગ સંસ્થાઓમાં જવાને બદલે, બિની તેના સમર્પણ અને સ્વ-અભ્યાસ પર નિર્ભર હતી. તેના ગામમાં યોગ્ય ઇન્ટરનેટ ઍક્સેસ કરવું મુશ્કેલ હતું, તેથી તેમણે પોતાનું ઘર છોડી દીધું અને ગોવિંદપાલીમાં રહેવા લાગી.

બીનીની સખત મહેનત અને ખંતનું ફળ ત્યારે મળ્યું જ્યારે તેમણે OPSCની ઓડિશા સિવિલ સર્વિસ પરીક્ષા પાસ કરી અને રાજ્ય સિવિલ સર્વિસ પરીક્ષા પાસ કરનાર બોંડા સમુદાયમાંથી પ્રથમ વ્યક્તિ બની. 2020 માં તેમના પ્રથમ પ્રયાસમાં, તેણે અંતિમ મેરિટ યાદીમાં સ્થાન મેળવી શકી ન હતી; પરંતુ આ પછી, આશા ગુમાવ્યા વિના, બિનીએ 596મો રેન્ક હાંસલ કર્યો.
