🌸 CAN SAFFRON SUPPORT CHILDREN WITH ADHD?

Research has started exploring saffron (Kesar) as a possible supportive option for children with ADHD. Some small clinical studies have reported improvements in symptoms such as inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, but the evidence is still developing.

Saffron contains bioactive compounds such as crocin and crocetin, which are being studied for their potential effects on brain function, mood and oxidative stress.

🌿 If you want to include saffron in your child’s diet:

✨ Choose pure, high-quality saffron threads (Kesar) rather than saffron-flavoured products or powders of uncertain quality.

✨ For food use, 1–2 strands can be infused in warm milk or water and added to food. There is no established daily ADHD dose for children, so avoid giving medicinal/high doses without professional guidance.

✨ Saffron can be part of a balanced diet that also includes protein, eggs, dairy, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables.

🧠 Remember: Nutrition can support a developing brain, but food alone does not treat ADHD. Every child is different and ADHD should be properly assessed and managed with an individualized plan.

⚠️ DISCLAIMER: Saffron is NOT a proven cure or standalone treatment for ADHD. Research in children is limited, and studies have used specific preparations and doses that should not automatically be replicated at home. Consult your child’s pediatrician/qualified healthcare professional before using saffron in therapeutic amounts, especially if your child takes medication or has a medical condition.

💬 Have you tried saffron in your child’s diet? Tell me in the comments.

Every hyperactive child wants one thing deep inside — to be accepted. ❤️

But when a child is constantly called “hyper,” “naughty,” “difficult,” or “misbehaved,” they may start feeling like something is wrong with them.

And yes, even children as young as 3 years old can be labelled.

Sometimes their anger, frustration, impulsivity or inability to sit still is not “bad behaviour” — it may be their way of communicating that they are overwhelmed, struggling to regulate, or simply need a different approach.

Instead of asking, “Why is my child behaving like this?”
Try asking, “What is my child trying to tell me?”

Your child doesn’t need a label.
They need understanding, connection, boundaries and the right support.

Let’s raise children who feel accepted, not judged. 🌱

🚨 THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!

This book is exclusively for parents of HyperKids—especially mothers who are tired of hearing, “Your child is too naughty,” “He doesn’t listen,” or “Just control him.”

📖 “I Am Not Hyper, I Am Helpless” is created to help you understand the why behind your child’s behaviour—the anger, impulsivity, restlessness, emotional outbursts, sitting intolerance and difficulty following instructions.

Because your child doesn’t always need more scolding.
Sometimes, he needs more understanding. ❤️

Inside, you’ll find practical, psychology-based insights to help you respond differently, build connection, and support your child’s development.

🌱 For mothers who want to stop shouting and start understanding.
🌱 For parents who want practical strategies—not judgment.
🌱 For anyone raising a child who seems “too much” for the world.

🚨 HITTING IS A LEARNED BEHAVIOUR — AND IT CAN BE UNLEARNED.

When a child hits, don’t hit back. ❤️
You may stop the behaviour temporarily, but you’re also teaching them that hitting is how we respond to anger.

Instead:

🧠 Identify the trigger
❤️ Validate the emotion
🛑 Set a firm boundary: “It’s okay to be angry, but hitting is not okay.”
🗣️ Teach them what to do instead—use words, ask for help, or take space.

Don’t punish the emotion. Teach the behaviour.

If this helped, LIKE ❤️ SAVE 🔖 SHARE with a parent who needs this.

They’re small, let them hit… they’ll grow out of it.” ❌

This is one of the biggest mistakes we can make as parents.

Yes, children are still learning to regulate emotions.
Yes, anger and frustration are normal.
But hitting is not a behaviour we should ignore simply because the child is small.

When we repeatedly allow hitting, the child may learn:
👉 “Hitting is an acceptable way to express anger.”
👉 “When I don’t get my way, I can use physical force.”
👉 “People will tolerate my aggression.”

So, what should you do instead? 👇

1️⃣ Stay calm.
Don’t hit back. Don’t scream. Your response teaches more than your words.

2️⃣ Stop the hitting immediately.
Gently but firmly block their hand and say:
“I know you’re angry, but I will not let you hit.”

3️⃣ Name the emotion, not the behaviour.
“You are very angry because you wanted that toy.”

4️⃣ Give them an alternative.
Teach them:
“I can say ‘I’m angry.’”
“I can ask for help.”
“I can take a break.”
“I can stomp my feet or squeeze a pillow.”

5️⃣ Hold the boundary consistently.
The message should remain the same every time:
All feelings are allowed. Hitting is not.

And remember—discipline does not mean punishment. It means teaching.

A small child doesn’t need a parent who is afraid of their anger.
They need a parent who can hold the boundary while staying emotionally safe. ❤️

If your child frequently hits, bites, kicks or becomes physically aggressive, don’t simply label them “naughty.” Look at the trigger, environment, communication skills, sensory needs and emotional regulation behind the behaviour.

Save this post. Share it with a parent who needs to hear this.

Not every hyperactive child has ADHD. 🧠

ADHD is broadly understood through three presentations:
🔹 Predominantly inattentive
🔹 Predominantly hyperactive/impulsive
🔹 Combined presentation

Hyperactivity can have many causes, so don’t label your child too quickly. Proper assessment matters.
