Biswanath 07/08/2026: A District Coordination Meeting and Orientation on National Deworming Day (NDD), 2026 was held today at the 3rd Floor Conference Hall of the Integrated Office of the District Commissioner, Biswanath.
The meeting was chaired by Smti. Amrit Prabha Das, ACS ADC (Health) and Dr Jogen Ch Bey Joint DHS.
The meeting was attended by the Inspector of Schools, DEEO, DSWO, DPM (PM POSHAN), DPO (CM SSA), SDM&HOs, DME, DCO, DAM, AAM, DEOs, BPMs, BCMs, BDM, BCO from all BPHCs.
The orientation focused on strengthening inter-departmental coordination and ensuring the successful implementation of the upcoming National Deworming Day (NDD) campaign across the district.

Biswanath 06/08/20206: With the aimed to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services the medical team rendered essential healthcare services in the flood-affected areas under Amjarani Gaon Panchayat (Bormahjan Tea Garden New Line), under the Jalukbari NPHC sector of Gohpur BPHC.
The medical team conducted health assessments, provided treatment, distributed essential medicines, and delivered health awareness messages to the residents.

Biswanath 06/08/2026: In collaboration with the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP), Biswanath and Mahabahu Club (NGO), today organized an awareness meeting on Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C for beauty parlour and salon owners, as well as tattoo artists, at the Conference Hall of Biswanath Chariali BPHC today.
During the programme, Dr. Jogen Ch. Bey, Joint Director of Health Services, Dr. Eliza Deka CM&HO (CD) cm District Nodal Officer (NVHCP) and Dr. Gunjan Pathak In-charge Blood Bank cm SDM&HO, elaborated on the modes of transmission, risk factors, prevention and the importance of early screening and vaccination against Hepatitis B and C.
The meeting was also attended by DME -NHM and the BPM Biswanath Chariali BPHC.
