𝗦𝗡 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
As the Retina Summit unfolded with 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, this year's focus was also firmly on surgical skill transfer to participants.
It was truly special to provide meaningful learning moments during the Pre-Conference Workshop. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 offered a structured, hands-on environment for budding vitreoretinal surgeons to build foundational vitrectomy skills using our 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘅𝘆 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗼 𝗢𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲, guided by experienced faculty.
Facilitating access to advanced surgical training remains a core priority for us — enabling surgeons to serve their communities more effectively, in line with our long-term vision.
We thank 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮, widely recognised for its contribution to ophthalmic care and clinical education, for organising such an impactful platform.

Appasamy Associates was proud to participate in the 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, held in Bengaluru from 𝟭𝟬–𝟭𝟮 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.
Organized by Sankara Eye Foundation India, this year's conference centred on the theme "𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘆𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 – 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗸𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟰𝟳."
At the conference, Appasamy showcased its advanced ophthalmic technologies, including the 𝗙𝗢𝗩𝗶 𝗥𝗢𝗣 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) screening and the 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗜𝗤 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗽, engaging with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other eye care professionals through meaningful scientific interactions.

We were also privileged to contribute to the conference's scientific program:
• 𝗠𝗿. 𝗨. 𝗩. 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗻 presented on "𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴" under the session on enablers of innovation in eye care.
• 𝗠𝗿. 𝗨𝗷𝗷𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗮 delivered a session titled "𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘪𝘥𝘦-𝘍𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘙𝘖𝘗 𝘚𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘕𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯," highlighting the transformative role of imaging technology in secondary and tertiary eye care.
