Once again, the versatility of the 5F technique can be seen in this video which shows the being used beautifully and very simply for iridodialysis repair with a 6-0 prolene suture.

The new 5F ISHF technique covered extensively in national and local newspapers and television news following its use in a young 44 year old Gynaecologist who was blind in both eyes. The surgery was combined with SPA IOL explantation, OPK, pupilloplasty, anterior vitrectomy etc.
The rock stable fixation of the 5F IOL and the microsclerotomies as well as absence of flaps and flanges made this technique uniquely suited to this case who had undergone multiple failed surgeries in the past.
