Living with diabetes is about more than managing blood sugar—it’s about caring for the whole person. 💙

For women, hormonal changes, caregiving responsibilities, social pressures and the daily demands of diabetes can affect emotional well-being.

Anxiety. Depression. Diabetes distress.
Mental health deserves the same attention as physical health.

Let’s break the silence, challenge the stigma and create space for women to seek support—because a healthier mind is part of better diabetes care. 🌿

Beyond the Pink: Understanding the Diabetes–Breast Cancer Connection. 💗

Did you know that Type 2 diabetes is associated with a 20–27% higher risk of breast cancer compared to women without diabetes?

The relationship works both ways. Breast cancer survivors also have a modestly increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

This connection highlights the importance of an integrated approach to women's health, from prevention and early detection to long-term care.

💗 Manage blood sugar levels.
💗 Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
💗 Stay physically active.
💗 Prioritise regular breast cancer screening.

Women's health deserves a holistic approach. Awareness today can make a difference tomorrow.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let's look beyond the pink and recognise the link between metabolic health and cancer care.

International Day for Older Persons | 1 October

Ageing with dignity means living with health, independence and purpose. 💙

For older adults living with diabetes, good care goes beyond blood sugar management. Balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, medication adherence, routine health check-ups and emotional well-being are all essential to healthy ageing.

Let us make diabetes care more accessible, compassionate and age-friendly, empowering older adults to live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.

Healthy ageing is a right at every age. 💛

❤️ Childhood Obesity, Lifelong Heart Health!

Obesity in childhood is more than a weight concern. It can increase the risk of hypertension, insulin resistance, abnormal cholesterol and cardiovascular disease later in life.

Prevention begins early—with healthy eating, regular physical activity, adequate sleep and mindful lifestyle choices.

Let us make children's heart health a priority today for a healthier tomorrow. ❤️

Healthy Childhoods. Stronger Hearts. Healthier Futures.

❤️ A Woman’s Heart Deserves Special Attention.

This World Heart Day, let’s recognise that cardiovascular health is not the same for everyone. Biological s*x influences heart health, risk factors, symptoms and outcomes.

From diabetes and migraine with aura to sudden cardiac death, women face distinct cardiovascular risks that demand greater awareness and specialised care.

💗 One size does not fit all. Every woman deserves timely diagnosis, personalised prevention and gender- and s*x-specific care.

Let’s move beyond awareness towards more precise, inclusive and equitable heart care for every woman.

This World Heart Day, put women’s heart health at the centre of the conversation.

Men and women are equal — but when it comes to health, they are not always the same. ❤️

Diabetes can affect women and men differently - from risk factors and symptoms to complications, treatment needs and long-term outcomes.

Yet healthcare is often designed around a one-size-fits-all approach.

It’s time to look beyond the numbers and understand the gender lens in diabetes care.

Because better health outcomes begin when we recognise that different bodies may need different approaches.

🌿 See diabetes differently. See her differently.

Diabetes doesn’t only affect blood sugar—it can affect the brain too. 🧠

Type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease share several pathways, including insulin resistance, inflammation and oxidative stress.

Managing blood sugar, staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can support both metabolic and brain health.

Care for your health today. Protect your tomorrow. 💙

What happens to a mother’s health during pregnancy can echo across generations. 🌿

The connection between obesity and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is more than a pregnancy concern — it can influence the health trajectory of both mother and child.

That is why preconception care matters.
Identifying risks early, improving metabolic health and supporting healthy weight before pregnancy can help create a healthier beginning for both mother and baby.

💚 A healthier pregnancy begins before pregnancy.
Because when we invest in a mother’s health today, we invest in the health of the next generation.

Watch the video of our founder Dr Usha Sriram to understand the important link between GDM, obesity and intergenerational health.

Type 2 diabetes is no longer just an adult concern.

A study from Chennai involving 10,449 young people diagnosed with diabetes by age 25 found that type 2 diabetes was more common than type 1 in the study population.

The findings highlight an important reality: diabetes can begin early in life, and its impact can be serious even in young people.

Early awareness, healthy nutrition, regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight and timely screening can make a difference.

💙 Young age is not a shield against diabetes. Awareness is the first step towards prevention and better care.
