Psyche.Pragya Healing > hiding. Unlearn, understand, and heal

What scares me the most is not how many women are suffering.
What scares me is how normal their suffering has become.

A woman crying after constant taunts?
Normal.

A woman slowly losing confidence after marriage?
Normal.

A woman being told to stay quiet to “save the relationship”?
Normal.

A woman getting emotionally isolated from her own family after marriage?
Normal.

A woman being constantly compared, controlled, emotionally manipulated or reminded how much was dowry they got from her family?
Still normal.

And this is exactly how emotional abuse survives in society not loudly, but silently… hidden inside traditions, family expectations and the word “adjustment.”

The saddest part is that many women don’t even realize they’re being emotionally damaged because they were raised watching other women survive the same thing silently.

Trauma doesn’t always come from one big incident.
Sometimes trauma comes from years of feeling unwanted, unheard, controlled and emotionally unsafe.

And when a woman finally reacts, breaks down, becomes angry, emotionally numb or mentally exhausted… people focus on her behaviour instead of the environment that created it.

We seriously need to stop romanticizing female suffering as “sacrifice.”
Because sometimes what society calls sacrifice… psychology calls emotional damage.
