*DAY 05 – INTERNSHIP ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2026*
*Theme: Public Health, PHC Training & Digital Health*
*Date: 11 September 2026*
⭐The first session was conducted from 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM by *Dr. Pavan Kumar*,Assistant professor,SW & Yoga dept.He provided valuable insights into Swasthvritta & Yoga and its relevance in Public Health. The session focused on Dinacharya, Ritucharya and Yogic practices for preventive and promotive health at the PHC level.
⭐The second session was held from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and was conducted by *Dr. Manisha Vaja*, Associate Professor and Academic Incharge, Department of Kriya Sharrir. She discussed various entrepreneurial opportunities for Ayurveda graduates including start-ups, wellness clinics and medical tourism, and provided practical guidance regarding professional career building.
⭐third session was conducted from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM by *Dr. Amar Kamble* ,HOD & Professor, Rachana Sharir department.The session provided important knowledge regarding Medical Value Travel and AYUSH Visa. He highlighted the scope of Ayurveda in global health tourism and the recent AYUSH Visa initiative by the Government of India.
A lunch break was observed from 12:30 PM to 01:30 PM.
⭐The fourth session was conducted from 01:30 PM to 02:30 PM by *Dr. Manisha Chaudhary*, Assistant Professor,Department of Kayachikitsa. The session focused on Atyayik Chikitsa (Emergency Management). She provided important knowledge regarding basic emergency care, first aid management and referral protocols at the Primary Health Centre level.
⭐The fifth session, held from 02:30 PM to 03:30 PM, was conducted by *Vd. Yogita Omprakash Shrotriya*, HOD and Professor, Department of Kriya Sharir. The session focused on Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). She explained ABHA ID, Health Facility Registry, and the integration of AYUSH systems into the digital health ecosystem.
⭐The sixth session was conducted from 03:30 PM to 04:30 PM by *Dr. Dipa Mehta*, HOD & Professor, Dravyaguna department.The session focused on Communication, Leadership and Counselling. She discussed effective doctor-patient communication, counselling skills and leadership qualities essential for interns during their PHC posting. She is also the founder of menopauseayurcare.com and creator of Ayurved Dravyanidhi Android App.
Overall, Day 05 of the Internship Orientation Programme 2026 was highly informative and enriching. The sessions provided valuable theoretical and practical knowledge regarding public health, digital health and professional skills for future practice.
