👀 EYE FLU (CONJUNCTIVITIS) IN KIDS 💕
Red eyes, watering, itching or sticky discharge? It could be conjunctivitis — commonly called eye flu.
🩷 Common symptoms:
• Red or pink eyes
• Excessive watering
• Itching or burning
• Sticky discharge / eyelids stuck in the morning
• Sensitivity to light
🧼 Prevention is key:
✔️ Wash hands frequently
✔️ Avoid touching or rubbing the eyes
✔️ Don’t share towels, handkerchiefs or pillows
✔️ Keep frequently touched surfaces clean
✔️ Avoid close contact when the infection is active
⚠️ Do not use leftover eye drops or antibiotics without medical advice. Not every red eye needs an antibiotic.
If your child develops severe pain, significant light sensitivity, vision changes, swelling around the eye, or symptoms that are worsening, seek medical evaluation promptly.
🌸 Healthy eyes begin with good hygiene & timely care!
