Confession: I’ve had every Potterhead phase imaginable. 🪄
And my biggest regret? Not reading Harry Potter at 11... maybe then my letter would’ve actually come. 😂 I started at 15 instead, right when being a teenager felt genuinely crazy, and that world gave me a whole new reality to disappear into when mine got too much.
Gryffindor-Ravenclaw identity crisis forever. Handmade bookmarks, lockets, a city-wide quiz win, and yes, Harry Potter Monopoly... the full fan starter pack. ⚡️
Here’s the thing though, I don’t think this was ever just another fandom. It was pure comfort. And lately, with everything going on around us, so many of us are looking for some comfort.
Someone might say be real..this world is fictional ~ but going back to what once felt safe isn’t escapism, it’s a coping tool! What most people don’t realize is that there IS A HEALTHIER WAY to use nostalgia ~ by turning it into a present-day healing tool, an outlet that honors the parts of us that needed comfort as a child or teenager so we can feel grounded today.
And that’s exactly why I created this art therapy workshop. Because “comfort read” energy deserves more. More than a five-minute nostalgia trip ~ it deserves a space to actually turn into healing through expression ✨
