By 1926 he had established "Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital" at Daryaganj, Delhi, the first hospital of its kind in northern India, equipped with the best instruments and facilities available at that time. The tradition was carried forward by his son, Dr. Minoo Shroff and subsequently by his grandsons, Dr. Noshir Shroff and Dr. Cyrus Shroff at Shroff Eye Centre. With the joining of Dr. Daraius Shroff & Dr. Rushad Shroff, the legacy continues in the fourth generation. Motivated by the vision of Dr. S.P. Shroff, the centre is committed to providing patients with the best possible eye care while maintaining the highest levels of honesty and integrity.

Will cataract surgery hurt?

It's one of the most common concerns patients have before surgery.

The good news is that modern cataract surgery is typically painless. With topical and local anesthesia, most patients remain comfortable throughout the procedure and are often surprised by how quick and smooth the experience is.

In this reel, Dr. Apoorva explains what to expect during cataract surgery and why fear of pain shouldn't stop you from seeking treatment.

If blurry vision, glare, or difficulty reading is affecting your daily life, it may be time for a comprehensive eye examination.

Yoga is a great way to reduce stress, stretch and strengthen. However, some yoga poses should be avoided if you have glaucoma. Please avoid poses which can increase eye pressure, the list is longer than the one mentioned here.

It's good to remember that everyone is different and every persons yoga practice is different. Please discuss with your doctor what is safe and works best for you.

This Father's Day, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who helped us see the world with confidence, curiosity, and courage.
As we honour their love and guidance, it's also a reminder to help them protect one of their most precious gifts, their vision.

Many eye conditions become more common with age and may develop without noticeable symptoms. Regular eye examinations can play an important role in preserving healthy vision and independence.

From all of us at Shroff Eye Centre, wishing every father a very Happy Father's Day. 👁️❤️

What does life look like after living with high eye power for nearly two decades?

In this patient testimonial, Sia shares her experience of undergoing ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) surgery at Shroff Eye Centre under the care of Dr. Dariel Mathur.

Her journey highlights the importance of personalised treatment, expert guidance, and choosing the right vision correction option based on individual eye health, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

We're grateful for the trust our patients place in us and proud to be part of their vision transformation journey.
