Dr. Rajeev Verma is the Head of the Department, Joint Replacement & Orthopedics at Manipal Hospitals - the 2nd largest hospital chain in India, Dwarka. He specializes in primary and revision knee and hips replacement surgery. He also holds a special interest in sports injuries and arthroscopic surgeries. After completing his basic medical degree from King George Medical College Lucknow, he went on

to specialize in orthopedic surgery at Government Medical College Patiala and Safdarjung hospitals Delhi. Thereafter, he went to the United Kingdom for higher specialist training in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries. He is spearheading a team of 8 orthopedic surgeons, 6 nurses & plaster technicians who are ably supported by a group of trained physiotherapists. He has performed some of the most complex surgeries in India and ranks as one of the few most qualified orthopedic surgeons in Asia. Apart from being an excellent orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Verma is also a fitness enthusiast and an avid marathon runner. He has participated in more than 20 marathons including the prestigious Chicago, Amsterdam, and Mumbai marathons. By showcasing his sportsmanship, Dr. Verma wishes to encourage the spirit of never giving up among his patients and inspire them to make fitness an important part of their lifestyle.
