The Power of Becoming Silent — The Sakshi Within..
When I stopped becoming the character, I began to see the witness.
Today, I sat with my eyes closed, looking for answers. And somewhere in that silence, I felt something shift within me.
I found myself stepping back, almost as if I was watching my own life like a film.
And there I was… playing a character. A strong one, with so many emotions, so many stories, so many attachments.
Sometimes, I get so involved in this character that I forget anything beyond it exists. I cry when she cries. I laugh when she laughs. I feel her pain, her love, her struggles. And honestly, at times, I am so deeply in love with her.
And I wondered… what if I am not just the character? What if there is a part of me that has been quietly watching it all along?
Maybe getting closer to myself isn't about finding more answers. Maybe it's about sitting in silence long enough to see the difference between who I think I am and the one who is watching.
The character will continue to live, love, cry, laugh, make mistakes and play her part. And that's okay.
But somewhere, beyond all of it, there is the Sakshi. The witness.
And for a few moments today, I felt a little closer to that space.
I am not the body. I am not the mind.
I am still trying to understand what that truly means. But today, I didn't just think about it. I felt a glimpse of it.
