Honoured to participate in Innovation in Oncology 2026 and share my perspective on “Role of Minimally Invasive Surgery in Ovarian Germ Cell Tumors.”

Ovarian germ cell tumors, affecting predominantly by adolescent girls and young women, require a treatment approach that balances oncological safety with fertility preservation and quality of life.

I highlighted the role of robotic surgery in enhancing precision and surgical outcomes, including a video presentation of a malignant sexcord stromal tumor managed Robotically with fertility sparing surgery and a challenging case of bilateral ovarian mature teratomas with 10 dermoid cysts, demonstrating the value of robotic technology in tissue preservation.

The journey of treating young patients requires evidence, innovation, emotion, and empathy with the ultimate goal of achieving long-term survivorship and a better quality of life.
