A case of PLAQUE INDUCED GINGIVAL ENLARGEMENT
A 22 YLyear old female patient reported to my clinic with a chief complaint of swollen gums in lower front teeth region for the past 4months .Also reported bad breath and bleeding gums while brushing.
On examination painless, soft with a smooth & shinny surface , loss of stippling and obliterated contour.
Grade lll type of gingival enlargement (Bokenkamp 1994)
OPG showed no bone deficiencies.
TREATMENT PLAN
Oral prophylaxis followed by gingivectomy
TREATMENT DONE
Oral prophylaxis done.
After 3days gingivectomy was carried out.
