A case of PLAQUE INDUCED GINGIVAL ENLARGEMENT

A 22 YLyear old female patient reported to my clinic with a chief complaint of swollen gums in lower front teeth region for the past 4months .Also reported bad breath and bleeding gums while brushing.
On examination painless, soft with a smooth & shinny surface , loss of stippling and obliterated contour.
Grade lll type of gingival enlargement (Bokenkamp 1994)
OPG showed no bone deficiencies.

TREATMENT PLAN
Oral prophylaxis followed by gingivectomy

TREATMENT DONE
Oral prophylaxis done.
After 3days gingivectomy was carried out.

CASE OF SIALOLITHIASIS ( Formation of Salivary stones)

A 40 yr old male patient reported to my clinic with a chief complaint of recurrent episodes of pain , swelling on the floor of the mouth, associated with pus discharge.

On examination-
8-10mm in size, hard swelling situated near the Lingual frenum,which was extremely tender on palpation, associated with pus discharge.
A diffuse radiopacity was seen in the OPG,which confirmed my diagnosis.

TREATMENT DONE
Under LA, an incision was made at the ductal or***ce and calculi are exposed and retreived.
Suture were placed to close the surgical area.

MANAGEMENT OF JAW FRACTURE

A 27 year-old male patient who was referred from other clinic came with a complaint of severe pain and difficulty in opening his lower jaw since 3 days due to trauma from a road traffic accident.
He had a history of bleeding from the mouth immediately after the injury, but did not experience vomiting, loss of consciousness, and bleeding from the nose and ear.

ON EXAMINATION
A diffuse extraoral swelling present in the chin region.
Dearranged occlusion,
Step deformity in the midline and
Hematoma of floor of the mouth.

T/t plan - ORIF under LA.
T/t done - ORIF done under LA & Suture placed

TREATMENT OF MIDLINE DIASTEMA WITH INVISALIGN SYSTEM

The patient presented with midline Diastema. She was concerned about the gap between her two front teeth.

TREATMENT GOALS -
- Closure of midline diastema.
- Level and align upper arch.

TREATMENT APPROACH -
- The Invisalign treatment was recommended to the patient.
- Retraction were performed for space closure.

TREATMENT DETAILS -

A total of 8 sets of aligner used.

TREATMENT OUTCOME -
The patient was satisfied with the treatment outcome.
- The midline diastema was closed.
- The upper arch was levelled and aligned.

A 45 year old female presented with a small growth of gradual onset on the right lateral side of the tongue since 6 months.
Growth was round in shape and measuring approximately 10 mm*8 mm.
