🚨 Sudden Hearing Loss in One Ear? Don’t Ignore It! 🚨

Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSNHL) is a condition in which hearing decreases rapidly, usually in one ear, over a few hours or days. Early recognition and prompt treatment are crucial because delaying medical attention can reduce the chances of hearing recovery.

🚨 হঠাৎ এক কানে শুনতে পাচ্ছেন না? এটিকে কখনও অবহেলা করবেন না! 🚨

অনেক সময় সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে, ফোনে কথা বলতে গিয়ে বা হঠাৎ কোনো কথোপকথনের সময় মনে হতে পারে— 👂 “এক কানে ঠিকমতো শুনতে পাচ্ছি না!”
অনেকে ভাবেন, 👉 “কান বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে” 👉 “Wax জমেছে” 👉 “দু-একদিন পরে ঠিক হয়ে যাবে”

কিন্তু বাস্তবে এটি Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSNHL) নামক একটি গুরুতর ENT জরুরি অবস্থা (ENT Emergency) হতে পারে।

⚠️ এই অবস্থায় কানের ভেতরের শ্রবণ স্নায়ু বা inner ear-এর কার্যকারিতা হঠাৎ কমে যায়, যার ফলে কয়েক ঘণ্টা বা কয়েক দিনের মধ্যে এক কানে শ্রবণশক্তি উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে কমে যেতে পারে।

🔍 কী কী লক্ষণ দেখা যেতে পারে?

✅ এক কানে হঠাৎ কম শোনা
✅ কানে ভোঁ ভোঁ বা শোঁ শোঁ শব্দ (Tinnitus)
✅ কান বন্ধ বা চাপ অনুভব হওয়া
✅ মাথা ঘোরা বা ভারসাম্য রাখতে সমস্যা
✅ ফোনে কথা বলার সময় এক কানে শুনতে অসুবিধা

❓ কেন হয়?
সব ক্ষেত্রে নির্দিষ্ট কারণ জানা যায় না, তবে সম্ভাব্য কারণগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে:
🔹 ভাইরাল সংক্রমণ
🔹 কানের ভেতরে রক্ত সঞ্চালনের সমস্যা
🔹 Autoimmune রোগ
🔹 ডায়াবেটিস, উচ্চ রক্তচাপ
🔹 অতিরিক্ত শব্দের সংস্পর্শ
🔹 কিছু ওষুধের পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া

⏳ কেন দ্রুত চিকিৎসা জরুরি?
Sudden hearing loss-এর ক্ষেত্রে “Time is Hearing”।
গবেষণায় দেখা গেছে, লক্ষণ শুরু হওয়ার পর যত দ্রুত চিকিৎসা শুরু করা যায়, বিশেষ করে প্রথম 24–72 ঘণ্টার মধ্যে, শ্রবণশক্তি ফিরে পাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা তত বেশি থাকে।
চিকিৎসা দেরি হলে স্থায়ী শ্রবণহানি হওয়ার ঝুঁকি বেড়ে যায়।

🩺 কী ধরনের চিকিৎসা করা হয়?
চিকিৎসার ধরন রোগীর অবস্থা অনুযায়ী ভিন্ন হতে পারে। এর মধ্যে থাকতে পারে:
