Aarohi Blood Center (ABC) an initiative of Aarohi (not for profit grassroots organization since 2000) The blood bank is registered with the Govt.

of Andhra Pradesh and is run by highly qualified team of professionals. The blood collected from volunteers in blood donation camps organized across the twin cities is dispensed by Aarohi to the needy, free of charge. They charge processing fee to those who can afford to pay, to be able to meet the running expenditure of the blood bank. Aarohi is committed to arrest clandestine sale of blood and a

dopted the policy of no replacement donation. They aim to improve the availability of safe blood by improving awareness on blood donation among general population.

The literal meaning of “Aarohi” is ascending, rising, or moving upward. The question then arises — what is meant to rise or ascend? The answer is the awareness and spirit of voluntary blood donation for blood banks that work selflessly to save precious lives.
One such institution is Aarohi Blood Bank, located in Khairatabad, which has been serving children with Thalassemia with dedication for more than 17 years. More than 1000 children are happily surviving today with the timely support and services extended by Aarohi.
I sincerely congratulate Aarohi for its remarkable and compassionate journey and feel happy and privileged to be a part of it.
