Financial Independence & Marriage: Is Divorce Becoming Easier?
Earlier, financial dependency often made separation difficult. Today, education and financial independence have given women greater choice, confidence and decision-making power.
But is financial independence causing divorce?
Not necessarily.
It may simply mean that people no longer have to remain in an unhealthy relationship only because they are financially dependent.
At eDishaa Foundation Sansthan, our Divorce Prevention Program focuses on early intervention through Marriage Counseling, Psychological Counseling, Mediation and Psycho-Legal Guidance.
Our goal is simple:
Don’t rush towards divorce. First understand the conflict, communicate, heal and explore reconciliation—wherever possible.
Because a healthy marriage should be based on choice, respect and emotional partnership—not dependency.
