✨ Affordable vs Premium Skincare
Does expensive always mean better?

One of the most common questions I get is:
“Should I buy the affordable one or the premium one?”

So I’m starting a series where I’ll compare my top 5 skincare products across different categories: affordable vs premium.

The truth is, an affordable product can be highly effective too. Premium products may offer a better texture, elegant formulation, added ingredients, or a more luxurious experience, but that doesn’t mean affordable options don’t work.

💰 If your budget is limited, choose the affordable one with confidence.
✨ If you enjoy premium skincare and it fits your budget, go for it.

Skincare should be based on science, not just price.

Tell me in the comments:
Which skincare category should I compare first?
Or drop any skincare question you’d like me to answer in this series. 👇

First of all, thank you so much for coming on camera and addressing everything, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji 🙏🇮🇳

And can we please talk about that glow? 😅 You left the internet asking only one question “Sir, skincare routine please?” 🎀

Honestly, we don’t know what he applies. 😄 But as a dermatologist, let me tell you glowing skin is not always about skincare. Your skin reflects much more than the products on your shelf. It reflects your inner peace, mental health, diet, exercise, yoga, personality, kindness, resilience, confidence, discipline and the way you live your life.

So yes, follow a good skincare routine. But don’t forget to build a good life too ❤️

Before you hire this staff member, please read this.

I had decided not to speak about this publicly, but I believe fellow dermatologists deserve to know my experience before making a hiring decision.

During her association with my clinic, she:

* Failed to honor the agreed terms of her employment.
* Caused complete damage to the screen of my Tribeam Q-Switched laser machine worth 28L
* Behaved rudely and unprofessionally with patients.
* Left without returning the ₹50,000 advance I had paid towards her gym training and personal gym membership.

I also have evidence that many of the negative Google reviews my clinic received during that period were directly linked to patients’ unpleasant interactions with her, some of them mentioned her identity too.

Please conduct proper background verification before hiring. When staff with repeated unprofessional conduct move from one clinic to another without accountability, the damage is not limited to the employer—it also affects patients and the reputation of our profession.

Hire responsibly.

If you’re treating melasma, acne marks, or any kind of hyperpigmentation, please choose safe, evidence based treatments.

I’ve been seeing videos where people try to remove pigmentation using kind of silicone tape. But pigmentation doesn’t sit on the surface of your skin. It’s melanin, present within the skin layers.

Trying to peel or strip it off can injure your skin and actually make the pigmentation worse by causing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

That’s why, even with professional procedures, dermatologists are careful about the risk of PIH.

So please don’t fall for viral hacks. Choose treatments that are safe and suitable for your skin.

If you have any questions, drop them in the comments.

I was that 17-year-old girl again full of hope, determination and dreams that once felt so far away.

It was the strangest feeling… as if I had stepped into a time machine. For a few hours, I wasn’t thinking about responsibilities, work, or adulthood. I was simply reliving a part of my life that shaped me into who I am today.

When I returned home, I didn’t bring back anything tangible. Just a heart full of memories… and a freshness that made me want to start something new again.

Maybe you’ll call me a little crazy but if you ever get a chance, go back. Visit your childhood home. Walk through your college campus. Meet an old friend. Sit at the place where you once dreamed about your future.

Life gets busy. It moves so fast that we forget the people we used to be. Sometimes, the best way to move forward is to revisit where it all began.

And trust me… when you experience it, you won’t be able to put that feeling into words either. I know I couldn’t. ❤️

Don’t ask me kya mila ye kar k 🥺

It had been a busy day, and I wasn’t feeling like myself. So I packed my bag and went to the city where a 17-year-old girl once arrived with one dream, to become a doctor.

Everything has changed.

Back in 2003 there were no smartphones, no Google Maps, no saved locations. I didn’t have the address of the house I lived in or anyone’s phone number. All I remembered was the name of a landmark. I searched for it on Google and started looking for the place.

With every step, memories came flooding back.

Waking up before sunrise. Long coaching classes. Studying for 12–14 hours a day. Living away from my parents for the first time. Learning to manage everything on my own. Feeling homesick, yet refusing to give up because the dream was bigger than the comfort I had left behind.

For a while, I wasn’t the person I am today.
Stay with me to see how I felt that day 🥺

Your skincare routine is personal—but not every product has to be.

Knowing what’s shareable and non-shareable can help prevent breakouts, infections, and unnecessary skin problems.

Watch till the end to find out which products you should never let anyone else use. 👩‍⚕️✨

💬 Which skincare product do you never share? Let me know in the comments!

Does your sunscreen leave your skin feeling dehydrated by midday? 👇

If your skin starts looking dull or feeling dehydrated just a few hours after application, your sunscreen may not be the right fit.

That’s why I recommend Eclipse Solaire Aqua Fusion SPF 50 PA++++ Sunscreen. It delivers broad-spectrum protection with modern UV filters while helping keep your skin hydrated, fresh, and healthy-looking throughout the day.
