Gynecomastia surgery के बाद अगर chest में दोबारा swelling या fullness दिखे, तो हर बार इसे “Gynecomastia Recurrence” नहीं कहा जा सकता।

कई बार surgery के दौरान gland का थोड़ा हिस्सा जानबूझकर छोड़ा जाता है, ताकि chest contour natural रहे और ni**le area में excessive depression न आए। कुछ cases में अगर gland थोड़ी ज्यादा रह जाए, तो hormonal changes की वजह से उसमें limited growth हो सकती है।

इसलिए recurrence और residual gland में फर्क समझना बहुत जरूरी है। सही assessment और experienced surgeon की planning इसमें अहम भूमिका निभाती है।
