🚩🕉️ A BEAUTIFUL HANUMAN JI CHOLA SEVA FOR THE SHIV SADHNA GROUP

Yesterday, Shikha Ji offered Chola Seva to Shri Hanuman Ji with devotion and a heartfelt Sankalp for the members of our Shiv Sadhna Group.

It was a beautiful act of Bhakti, Seva and collective Sadhana. 🙏

🚩 WHY HANUMAN JI CHOLA SEVA IS SPECIAL

Offering Chola to Hanuman Ji is a cherished devotional practice in many Hanuman temples and traditions.

The Chola is traditionally associated with Sindoor and oil, along with other offerings according to the customs of the particular temple or tradition.

For devotees, this seva represents love, surrender and devotion to Pawanputra Hanuman Ji.

Hanuman Ji is revered as the embodiment of:

🔥 Strength
🛡️ Courage and protection
🙏 Devotion to Shri Ram
🧘 Discipline and humility
✨ Fearlessness

The most beautiful lesson of Hanuman Ji is that true strength does not come with ego.

His immense power was always placed in the service of Shri Ram.

🕉️ A SEVA FOR THE ENTIRE GROUP

What makes Shikha Ji's offering particularly special is that it was performed with the Shiv Sadhna Group in her Sankalp.

One devotee may perform the physical seva, but the entire group can participate through faith, prayer and intention.

This is what makes collective Sadhana so beautiful.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to Shikha Ji for offering this special Chola Seva for our group.

May Shri Hanuman Ji bless every member of the Shiv Sadhna Group with:

🚩 Strength to face every challenge
🚩 Courage to overcome fear
🚩 Protection from negativity
🚩 Wisdom and clarity
🚩 Devotion and discipline
🚩 Strength to continue the Sadhana path

May the blessings of Pawanputra Hanuman Ji and Shri Ram remain with everyone.

🚩 Jai Shri Ram!
🚩 Jai Bajrang Bali!
🕉️ Har Har Mahadev!

🔥🕉️ A POWERFUL HAVAN FOR THE SHIV SADHNA GROUP

Yesterday, a deeply powerful Havan was performed by Anish Ji with devotion and sankalp for the members of our Shiv Sadhna Group.

The Havan was dedicated to the divine energies of:

🔱 Maa Baglamukhi
🌺 Maa Kali
🔥 Maa Pratyangira

It was a beautiful expression of Shraddha, Sadhana and collective devotion.

🔥 THREE POWERFUL FORMS OF THE DIVINE SHAKTI

🌼 Maa Baglamukhi
Revered in Shakta traditions for her association with protection, victory, focused power and the restraint of harmful forces.

🌺 Maa Kali
The fierce form of Divine Mother associated with transformation, courage, dissolution of negativity and the transcendence of fear.

🔥 Maa Pratyangira
A powerful protective form of Shakti, traditionally invoked in certain Ta***ic traditions for protection and the overcoming of intense negative influences.

When such a Havan is performed with discipline, devotion and proper Sankalp, it becomes a beautiful form of spiritual seva.

🕉️ FOR OUR SHIV SADHNA GROUP

What makes this especially meaningful is that Anish Ji performed this Havan for the Shiv Sadhna Group, keeping the collective members in his Sankalp.

Spiritual practice becomes even more beautiful when people don't practise only for themselves.

One person performs the Havan.
Many hearts participate through devotion.
And everyone becomes part of the Sankalp.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to Anish Ji for taking the time and effort to perform this special Havan for our group.

May the blessings of Maa Baglamukhi, Maa Kali, Maa Pratyangira, Mahadev and Hanuman Ji guide and protect everyone walking this Sadhana path.

May we receive:

🕉️ Strength to face difficulties
🔥 Courage to overcome fear
🌺 Clarity in our actions
🙏 Protection and spiritual discipline
✨ Peace and strength on our Sadhana journey

And above all:

May our Sadhana make us better human beings.

🚩 Har Har Mahadev!
🌺 Jai Maa Kali!
🕉️ Jai Maa Baglamukhi!
🔥 Jai Maa Pratyangira!

🕉️ THE MAHA MRITYUNJAYA MANTRA: WHY HAS THIS ONE MANTRA SURVIVED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS?

There are mantras that people chant for prosperity.

Some for knowledge.

Some for courage.

And then there is the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra — traditionally associated with Lord Shiva, healing, protection, liberation and freedom from the fear of death.

It is one of the most revered Shiva mantras found in the Rigveda (7.59.12).

But its deepest meaning is often missed.

🔱 THE MANTRA

Om Tryambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanan
Mrityor Mukshiya Mamritat

At first glance, it sounds like a prayer for protection from death.

But look deeper.

The mantra doesn't simply say:

“Make me immortal.”

Its symbolism points toward something much more profound.

🕉️ “TRYAMBAKAM” — THE THREE-EYED ONE

The three-eyed Lord Shiva represents a vision beyond ordinary perception.

Two eyes see the external world.

The third eye represents deeper insight and spiritual awareness.

So the mantra begins by turning our attention toward a consciousness that sees beyond appearances.

🌿 “SUGANDHIM PUSHTIVARDHANAM”

Shiva is described as one who is fragrant and who nourishes all beings.

The imagery is beautiful:

Life is not merely about surviving.
It is about being nourished and growing toward higher awareness.

🍃 AND THEN COMES THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IMAGE

“Urvarukamiva Bandhanan”

The traditional imagery compares liberation to a ripe fruit becoming separated from its attachment to the vine.

A fruit does not need to be violently torn away when it is fully ripe.

It naturally releases.

This becomes a profound spiritual metaphor:

May liberation come through ripening, wisdom and release.

🔥 “MRITYOR MUKSHIYA MAMRITAT”

The prayer asks for liberation from Mrityu — death — toward Amrita, the deathless or immortal principle.

In spiritual interpretation, this need not mean that the physical body will never die.

It can point toward something deeper:

Freedom from the fear and bo***ge associated with mortality.

That distinction is important.

The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra should not be treated as a guarantee that chanting will prevent illness, accidents or physical death.

It is a sacred prayer and spiritual practice — not a substitute for medical care or emergency treatment.

🌺 WHY DO PEOPLE CHANT IT?

Traditionally, devotees chant the mantra for purposes including:

🕉️ Prayer for health and well-being
🛡️ Spiritual protection
🙏 Strength during difficult periods
🌿 Support during illness or recovery
🧘‍♂️ Meditation and inner stability
🔥 Overcoming fear of death
✨ Spiritual liberation

Many practitioners use 108 repetitions, often with a mala.

And Monday — traditionally associated with Shiva — is considered an especially meaningful day for Shiva worship.

But the power of a mantra isn't simply in counting repetitions.

Understanding what you are saying matters.

🌙 THE DEEPEST BATTLE IS OFTEN WITHIN

We spend much of our lives trying to defeat external problems.

But eventually every human being encounters a deeper question:

“What happens when everything I know begins to change?”

The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra brings that question directly into spiritual practice.

It reminds us that courage isn't necessarily the absence of death.

Courage can be learning to live without being controlled by the fear of death.

That is why this mantra has such a powerful place in Shiva Sadhana.

🪔 Do you chant the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra regularly?

If you do, tell me:

How many repetitions do you normally chant — 11, 21, 108, or more?

I'd love to hear how this ancient mantra has become part of your own Sadhana.

🕉️ WHAT IF THE WORLD IS REAL… BUT NOT THE WAY YOU THINK IT IS?

This is one of the most misunderstood ideas in Vedanta.

People hear the word Maya and immediately think:

“The world is an illusion. Nothing is real.”

But that isn't quite what the teaching is saying.

Maya is much more subtle.

🌫️ MAYA DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN “THE WORLD IS FAKE”

Imagine walking through a desert and seeing water shimmering in the distance.

You see something.

Light is behaving in a particular way.

Your eyes are receiving information.

The experience is real.

But your conclusion:

“There is water over there.”

may be completely wrong.

That is a beautiful way to begin understanding the idea of Maya.

The problem isn't necessarily what exists.

The problem can be how we interpret what exists.

🐍 THE ROPE AND THE SNAKE

There is a famous Vedantic example.

Imagine seeing a rope lying on the ground in darkness.

For a moment, you think:

“Snake!”

Your body reacts.

Your heart beats faster.

Fear appears.

You move away.

The fear is real.

The physical reaction is real.

But the snake?

It was never there.

Then someone shines a light.

Suddenly the fear disappears.

Not because the rope changed.

But because your knowledge changed.

And that is where the teaching becomes profound.

🧠 HOW MUCH OF OUR LIFE IS INTERPRETATION?

Someone says something to you.

You interpret it as an insult.

Someone doesn't reply to your message.

You interpret it as rejection.

Something goes wrong.

You immediately think:

“Why does this always happen to me?”

The event happened.

But the story your mind creates around the event may be something completely different.

This is one reason the concept of Maya remains so powerful.

🕉️ THREE LEVELS OF REALITY

Vedantic philosophy discusses different ways of understanding reality.

🌫️ PRATIBHASIKA
Apparent or illusory experience — such as dreams, mistaken perceptions and imagined experiences.

🌍 VYAVAHARIKA
The everyday empirical world — the world in which we work, interact, make decisions and live our ordinary lives.

✨ PARAMARTHIKA
Ultimate reality — associated in Advaita Vedanta with Brahman and the deeper reality of the Self.

The spiritual journey, in this framework, is not simply about running away from the world.

It is about developing the knowledge to see reality more clearly.

🔥 AND THIS IS THE PART I FIND MOST BEAUTIFUL

Maya isn't necessarily something you have to destroy.

You still have to live.

Work.

Love.

Raise a family.

Make decisions.

Experience success and failure.

The deeper teaching is about learning to participate in life without becoming completely trapped by your perception of it.

You can be in the world...

without allowing the world to completely define who you are.

🧘‍♂️ SO HOW DO WE BEGIN TO SEE MORE CLEARLY?

Through practices such as:

Meditation.

Self-inquiry.

Awareness.

Study.

Contemplation.

And, for those who follow them, spiritual disciplines such as Sadhana and energy practices.

The goal isn't necessarily to escape reality.

The goal is to ask:

“Am I seeing what is actually there — or am I seeing what my mind has created?”

That single question can change the way you look at almost everything.

🕉️ Have you ever completely misunderstood a situation, only to discover later that your perception was wrong?

That is perhaps one of the simplest ways to experience the lesson of Maya in everyday life.

Tell me your story. 👇

26/08/2026

🕉️ WHY DO YOU FEEL DIFFERENT AFTER SITTING WITH CERTAIN PEOPLE?

Have you ever spent an hour with someone and walked away feeling lighter, calmer and more positive?

And then spent the same amount of time with someone else and felt completely drained?

Maybe there is more to it than we realise.

In Indian spiritual traditions, there is a beautiful word for the company of truth and spiritual seekers:

SATSANG

Sat — truth
Sang — association or company

Satsang is not simply sitting in a room and listening to someone speak about spirituality.

It is the experience of coming together with sincere seekers, teachings, reflection and spiritual practice.

And there is something very practical about it.

🌿 YOUR ENVIRONMENT SHAPES YOU

Think about your own life.

Spend time around angry people...

and eventually you may start feeling irritated.

Spend time around peaceful people...

and your own mind may begin to settle.

Spend time with people who constantly complain...

and suddenly everything seems negative.

But spend time with people who are genuinely trying to grow...

and something inside you begins to move.

This doesn't require us to claim that some invisible “frequency” has been scientifically proven to transfer between people.

There is a simpler truth:

We influence one another.

Through conversation.

Through behaviour.

Through attention.

Through example.

Through shared practice.

🕉️ THAT IS THE BEAUTY OF SATSANG

Traditional spiritual communities have long recognised several dimensions of this experience.

📿 SHRUTI — listening to teachings.

👥 SANGHA — being supported by a community of practitioners.

👁️ DRISHTI — the spiritual significance traditionally associated with the teacher's gaze.

🧘 COLLECTIVE PRACTICE — practising together and encouraging one another.

When you practise alone, there are days when you don't feel like continuing.

But when you know that others are also practising...

you show up.

You continue.

You become accountable.

And sometimes, another person's faith gives you strength on a day when your own faith is weak.

🌐 CAN ONLINE SATSANG BE REAL?

This is something I have thought about deeply.

Today, people can sit together from India, Australia, the UK, America and dozens of other places without being physically present in the same room.

Is that identical to sitting together physically?

No.

But does it have value?

Absolutely.

A live session.

A shared Sadhana.

A meaningful discussion.

A prayer performed together.

A question answered at exactly the right moment.

A community that reminds you:

“You are not walking this path alone.”

That itself can be powerful.

🔥 THIS IS WHY COMMUNITY MATTERS TO ME

Through VAYOM, I have tried to create a space where spiritual knowledge can be shared openly and where people can learn about subjects including:

🕉️ Vedic Astrology
🔱 Vastu
📿 Mantra & Sadhana
🔥 Havan
🌿 Reiki & Energy Practices
🧘 Meditation
🔯 Ta**ra and spiritual traditions

For me, the real purpose isn't simply to collect followers.

It is to create seekers who think, question, practise and learn.

Because the greatest Satsang is not where everyone agrees with you.

It is where everyone is genuinely interested in discovering the truth.

🙏 Have you ever experienced a Satsang that genuinely changed the way you thought or lived?

Tell me what happened.

Perhaps your experience will become someone else's reason to begin their own journey.

💎 DO GEMSTONES REALLY CHANGE YOUR DESTINY?

You have probably heard this advice before:

“Your Saturn is weak. Wear a Blue Sapphire.”

Or:

“Wear a Ruby to strengthen your Sun.”

But should you really put a gemstone on your finger simply because someone told you to?

This is where Vedic astrology becomes much more interesting.

🪐 THE PLANET–GEMSTONE CONNECTION

Traditional Jyotish associates particular gemstones with particular planetary influences:

☀️ SUN — Ruby
Associated with vitality, authority and confidence.

🌙 MOON — Pearl
Associated with emotions, mental calm and sensitivity.

🔥 MARS — Red Coral
Associated with courage, strength and action.

☿ MERCURY — Emerald
Associated with intellect, communication and learning.

🟡 JUPITER — Yellow Sapphire
Associated with wisdom, expansion and prosperity.

♀️ VENUS — Diamond
Associated with beauty, relationships and refinement.

🪐 SATURN — Blue Sapphire
Associated with discipline, responsibility and karmic themes.

☊ RAHU — Hessonite / Gomed
Traditionally associated with ambition, unusual experiences and material desires.

☋ KETU — Cat's Eye / Lehsunia
Associated with detachment, intuition and spiritual seeking.

⚠️ BUT HERE IS WHERE PEOPLE OFTEN MAKE A MISTAKE

A gemstone is not automatically beneficial simply because it belongs to a particular planet.

In Jyotish, the suitability of a gemstone is traditionally assessed from the individual birth chart.

The house lordship, planetary strength, placement, dignity, aspects and overall chart context matter.

So the advice:

“Saturn = Blue Sapphire. Everyone with Saturn should wear one.”

is far too simplistic.

The same gemstone can be considered appropriate in one chart and inappropriate in another.

That is why I strongly believe:

DON'T WEAR A GEMSTONE BEFORE UNDERSTANDING YOUR CHART.
🔎 BUT DOES SCIENCE PROVE THAT GEMSTONES AMPLIFY PLANETARY FREQUENCIES?

This is another place where we need to be honest.

Gemstones have measurable physical properties such as chemical composition, crystal structure, optical properties and hardness.

But the claim that each planet emits a specific frequency that a corresponding gemstone therapeutically amplifies is an astrological/esoteric interpretation, not an established scientific mechanism.

And I think spiritual knowledge becomes stronger — not weaker — when we clearly distinguish traditional belief from scientific evidence.

🕉️ THEN THERE IS LAL KITAB

This is one of the reasons I find Lal Kitab so fascinating.

Instead of making expensive gemstones the centre of every remedy, Lal Kitab is well known for remedies involving actions, habits, donations and symbolic practices.

Feed an animal.

Donate something.

Change a behaviour.

Perform a specific act of seva.

The philosophy is very different from simply buying an expensive stone and expecting your life to change.

And this connects strongly with something I have always emphasised:

A REMEDY SHOULD NOT DEPEND ON HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE.

A person should be able to work on themselves through awareness, discipline, behaviour and conscious action.

A gemstone may be part of a traditional Jyotish approach.

But it should never replace understanding.

💎 BEFORE YOU BUY A GEMSTONE, ASK ONE QUESTION:

“Why am I wearing this particular stone?”

If the answer is only:

“Someone told me to.”

Then perhaps your first remedy should be:

Understand your horoscope.

That is where real learning begins.

🛕 WHAT IF THE DASHAVATARA IS MORE THAN A STORY?

For thousands of years, the stories of Lord Vishnu's avatars have been passed from generation to generation.

But there is a fascinating question:

Could the Dashavatara also be understood as a symbolic journey of life, consciousness and human development?

The word Avatar is commonly understood as a “descent” — the divine manifesting in a particular form.

In the Vaishnava tradition, Vishnu's avatars appear in different forms associated with the restoration of Dharma when cosmic order is disturbed.

And then we come to the famous Dashavatara.

🐟 MATSYA — THE FISH
Life associated with the waters.

🐢 KURMA — THE TORTOISE
A creature connected with both water and land.

🐗 VARAHA — THE BOAR
A powerful terrestrial animal.

🦁 NARASIMHA — THE MAN-LION
A fascinating form that is neither fully human nor fully animal.

👣 VAMANA — THE DWARF
A distinctly human form.

🪓 PARASHURAMA — THE WARRIOR
The figure of the warrior and the destruction of unrighteous power.

🏹 RAMA — THE IDEAL KING
Dharma, responsibility, discipline and civilisation.

🪈 KRISHNA — THE DIVINE PLAY
Wisdom, Dharma, Bhakti, Leela and the profound teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

🧘 BUDDHA
Compassion, awareness and the inward search for truth — included in some traditions' lists of the Dashavatara.

⚔️ KALKI — THE FUTURE AVATAR
The yet-to-come figure associated with renewal and the end of the present cycle.

🔥 BUT IS THIS REALLY “EVOLUTION”?

This is where I would be careful.

It is tempting to say:

Fish → amphibian → animal → human → civilisation

and immediately declare:

“The rishis discovered Darwin thousands of years ago.”

That's a fascinating interpretation — but it isn't the same thing as demonstrating that the Dashavatara was intended as a scientific description of biological evolution.

Darwinian evolution is a scientific theory supported by extensive evidence.

The Dashavatara belongs to a religious and philosophical tradition.

The interesting conversation begins when we explore the symbolism without confusing symbolism with scientific proof.

And personally, I find that interpretation even more fascinating.

🕉️ BECAUSE THE STORY CAN ALSO BE READ INWARDLY

Perhaps the avatars aren't only telling us about the world.

Perhaps they can also make us think about ourselves.

We are born into matter.

We experience life.

We struggle.

We learn.

We develop responsibility.

We search for meaning.

And eventually, many spiritual traditions tell us, we begin looking beyond the external world toward the source within.

That makes the Dashavatara fascinating not only as mythology...

but as a map for reflection on consciousness and Dharma.

🌟 AND THEN THERE IS JUPITER

In Vedic astrology, Jupiter (Guru/Brihaspati) is strongly associated with wisdom, Dharma, teachers, knowledge and higher principles.

So when I study Vishnu symbolism alongside Jyotish, I find an interesting area of contemplation:

Where is Dharma operating in your life?

What are you learning?

What are you outgrowing?

And what is your next stage of development?

Perhaps the most important question isn't:

“Which avatar is the greatest?”

Perhaps it is:

“What is life trying to teach me at this stage of my journey?”

🛕 Which Dashavatara resonates with you the most — and why?

I would genuinely love to read your answer.
