A 65-year-old lady presented with severe angina (CCS Grade III) despite being on optimal medical therapy.
Her coronary angiography revealed a critical left main (LM) bifurcation disease with a proximal LAD aneurysm – a complex and high-risk coronary anatomy.
She was taken to the Cath Lab, where I, Dr. Shyam Kumar Sah, along with Dr. Ashish, performed LM bifurcation stenting using the DK CRUSH technique.
👉 DK CRUSH (Double Kissing Crush) is considered the gold standard for complex LM bifurcation lesions and has consistently shown superior outcomes in multiple international trials.
✅ The procedure was completed with an excellent angiographic result.
✅ The patient was discharged the very next day in a stable condition.
💡 Educational Note:
Left Main disease is one of the most critical coronary lesions. Advances in stent design and techniques like DK CRUSH now allow safe and durable results, offering patients a less invasive alternative to surgery when performed in experienced centers.
