Last Sunday, my article on SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy) was featured in Calcutta Times.

It was a wonderful opportunity to talk about how advances in radiation oncology are helping us treat selected cancers with greater precision. SBRT uses detailed imaging and careful planning to target the tumour while limiting exposure to nearby healthy tissues.

Creating awareness about newer treatment options and helping patients understand their choices is always important.

Cancer is serious, and treatment decisions should be based on the right answers.

A biopsy helps us understand what we are treating and guides us towards the right diagnosis and the right treatment.

Because when it comes to cancer, answers matter.

Recently, at a special event celebrating 25 years of Calcutta Times, I had the privilege of walking the ramp with one of my patients.
It was not just a ramp walk, it was a celebration of courage, resilience, and the spirit of living life beyond cancer. Seeing patients walk with confidence and a smile was deeply inspiring, reminding us that healing is not just physical, but emotional too.

Grateful to Manipal Hospitals and Calcutta Times for organizing such a wonderful and enthusiastic event, encouraging patients to embrace life with positivity and strength.

It was a wonderful experience being part of Global Advances in Urological Cancers GAUC 2026 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai.

The conference brought together some of the brightest minds in urology and oncology, and the discussions were both insightful and inspiring. It’s always refreshing to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and stay updated with how our field is evolving.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Yuvaraja and Dr Madan Maitre for the kind invitation and for putting together such a well-organized academic platform.

Looking forward to taking these learnings forward in my practice.

Had the chance to teach in the ICRO sessions, something I always enjoy, since these courses are meant for residents.
On Thursday, I joined the workshop and the Lung Cancer Panel under the historic ICRO–AROI–ASCO session, the first ASCO-endorsed Indian conference.
On Friday, I spoke on Regional Nodal Irradiation in Breast Cancer, one of the most debated topics in our field. Tried to simplify the evidence and guidelines on whom to treat and how to treat.
Also got to meet all my TMH teachers and faculties after a long time, the best part of the conference.
Thankful to the AROICON 2025 Scientific Committee for the trust.
