Arthritis affects the musculoskeletal system, specifically the joints.
While there is no defined remedy to cure arthritis. But regular therapy and palliative care, can help relieve the symptoms and aid patients to perform everyday activities easily.

As most common arthritis is osteoarthritis which is mostly due to an inactive lifestyle. So by doing the following, we can save our joints

Walking - daily walking nourishes our joint cartilage (ends of our bones) so maintains its elasticity.

Daily exercise – daily exercise helps in maintaining our muscle strength around the joint so less stress goes to the joint and also adds to your bone mass (stronger bones ).

Avoid prolonged sitting – avoid sitting more than 45 minutes at a time, get up and take a walk, sitting causes twice the stress on joints of the spine and knee than standing.

Healthy diet – include calcium-rich food which provide nutrition required by bones and joints.

Maintain a healthy weight – obesity increases the load on joints and causes degeneration (wear and tear).

Early consultation – if u feel any joint/s is painful then seeing an orthopaedic will save you from complications in the future.

With our policy, we will help you with a treatment routine that helps manage Arthritis better.

If the first few steps in the morning are painful, because of heel pain, then you should consult with us for a foot and heel pain treatment.

Common causes for heel pain include:

Abnormal walking style (gait), such as rolling the feet inwards

Obesity

Ill-fitting shoes

Standing, running or jumping on hard surfaces

Certain disorders, including diabetes and arthritis.

A few months ago, Dr Poonam had shared quick home remedies to help reduce the heel pain. (Check our IGTV videos)

While those may help alleviate pain, if it persists or comes back, we recommend a doctor consult.

In the age, where everything is available at our fingertips, we are increasingly glued to screens and this has created a generation of hunchbacks.

Whether we want to believe it or not, but research says that a Forward Head Posture (FHP) can add up to 30 pounds of abnormal weight on your cervical spine, which can pull the entire spine out of its normal alignment. A FHP can also lead to a loss of 30% of vital lung capacity.

Beware of the excessive use of screen!

5 mins to save your spine!

10 reps x 3 rounds should take you 5 minutes. And, don't forget to stretch every 2-3 hours.

Here are some quick, easy stretches that help release the pressure and make your muscles feel better.

That apart, remember to walk more, take the stairs, and drink enough water.
And if you still suffer from soreness, we recommend a visit to our clinic and consult with our physiotherapist.
