It was a great pleasure to deliver a lecture on “Flow Diverters and Ruptured Aneurysms: Tips and Tricks” at the prestigious neurosurgery conference organised by Professor B.K. Mishra in Mumbai — the 9th MASSIN Congress (combined with ICCVS & INU 2026).

At the beginning of my career, I was very passionate about aneurysms and AVMs, and I have had a close working relationship and ‘discussions’ with vascular neurosurgeons. The relationships that developed during that era taught me a lot during my career. I sincerely thank Professor B.K. Mishra for giving me this opportunity, which also allowed me to interact with stalwarts in neurosurgery!

One of the key elements in performing a successful neurointerventional procedure is having a well-equipped cath lab. It is a great pleasure and an honour to work in the state-of-the-art Cath Lab at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. This facility is helping us to develop a Neurointervention unit of excellence in our hospital. Thank you to the hospital for providing us with this facility.
I look forward to working with Dr Dhaval to develop a centre for Neurovascular disorders.

Attended the annual conference of STNI (Society of Therapeutic Neurointervention) in Delhi. Delivered a lecture on endovascular reconstruction of challenging bifurcation aneurysms. It was wonderful to be back in my parent city and reconnect with international and Indian friends. Special thanks to Dr Gaikwad for organising a tour and show at the Red Fort for the faculty.

Sharing media coverage regarding one of our patients whom we treated at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. This is an effort to emphasise that if patients can come on time, modern medical management and dedicated stroke teams can achieve miraculous recovery. I came to Mumbai six months back and joined Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital with the aim of establishing a Neurointervention Centre. I feel so honoured to have received this award along with Dr Arun Shah. I highly appreciate the support given to me by Reliance Foundation Hospital, which has made this possible. Looking forward to my journey in Mumbai ahead.
