Just experienced this on my phone today — a live test of India’s Cell Broadcast Emergency Alert system.
A powerful example of how the Government of India is leveraging indigenous technology to enable real-time, geo-targeted disaster communication. Unlike traditional messaging systems, this ensures alerts reach citizens instantly, even during network congestion.
This is more than a tech rollout — it’s a critical step toward strengthening national resilience, improving last-mile connectivity, and enhancing public safety at scale.
Kudos to all stakeholders involved in building and deploying this capability.

Comprehensive workshop on Amblyopia and Binocular Vision at Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital And Research Centre

The session covered key areas including early detection of amblyopia, advances in management strategies, and the importance of binocular vision assessment in enhancing patient outcomes. Practical clinical approaches and interdisciplinary collaboration in both pediatric and adult cases were also discussed.

My sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Ilango, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, and Dr. Meena for their support and collaboration in organizing this workshop.

A special note of appreciation to the Bynocs team — Blessy Mano Florida, PREMA KHALWATHI, and Selvi Bynocs — for their valuable contributions and support in executing the session seamlessly.

It was encouraging to see the enthusiastic participation of 300+ medical professionals across various specialties, fostering meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange. Such engagement reflects the growing importance of integrated, multidisciplinary care in vision science.

Workshops like these play a vital role in bridging clinical knowledge gaps and promoting improved patient care through early intervention and collaborative practice.

Feeling incredibly proud and deeply grateful to share a milestone that means a lot to us.

Our core science innovation in binocular amblyopia therapy has been recognized with a mention in Comprehensive Ophthalmology by Prof. Dr. A.K. Khurana. Seeing this work acknowledged in such a respected textbook is truly humbling.

This achievement is not mine alone. I owe immense gratitude to bynocs family for unwavering support, and to my dedicated team whose passion and persistence made this possible.

Moments like these remind me why we pursue innovation — to contribute meaningfully and make a difference.

EyeInvent continues to be a fantastic platform that brings together innovation, startups, clinicians, and researchers to explore how technology can transform eye care. It was exciting to showcase BynocsVR, an advanced platform for orthoptic diagnostics and digital vision therapy, and discuss how immersive technologies can enhance patient engagement and improve outcomes in binocular vision disorders and amblyopia.

Also a privilege to conduct the session on “Digital Therapies for Paediatric and Adult Amblyopia”, where we explored the growing role of digital therapeutics in modern amblyopia management.

As a paediatric Optometrist, I have found World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus - WSPOS Subspecialty Day to be one of the most clinically relevant and inspiring meetings for children’s eye care and strabismus. This year, abstracts are open for WSPOS Subspecialty Day 2026 in London, and I would really encourage fellow paediatric ophthalmologists, paediatric optometrists and orthoptists to consider submitting your work – whether it is research, challenging cases or surgical videos.

The sessions are highly interactive, the discussions are honest and practical, and you come back with ideas you can apply in clinic straight away. If you are involved in paediatric eye care and have a story, innovation or insight to share, this is a great platform to contribute and to learn from colleagues from around the world, truly reflecting the WSPOS spirit that “expertise resides all over the world”.
