A 58 yr old male admitted with us on 3/6/21 with chief complaints of left sided facial pain and swelling Since 2 day's .
Diagnosed him with postcovid rhinoorbital Mucormycosis for which we had operated him.
on POD1 patient went into hypotension and fall in saturation for which he was intubated and was on mechanical ventilation for next 6 days. We took all effort to get him back . with support of our anaesthesia ,medicine and Ophthalm team patient was extubated. and now we r discharging him after 20 days of hospital stay. Patient is stable and happy.
It's all because of our HOD Dr Atish Gujrathi sir, our lecturers Dr Nishikant sir Dr Yogesh sir under who's guidance we were able to work tirelessly and will continue to fight against this deadly Mucormycosis.
