🦴 Can Rest Alone Cure Elbow Pain?
Many people believe that simply resting their arm is enough to get rid of elbow pain. While rest may temporarily reduce discomfort, it doesn't address the underlying cause of the problem.
❌ Myth: Rest alone will cure elbow pain.
✅ Fact: Conditions such as Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis) often result from repetitive strain on the tendons around the elbow. Effective recovery usually requires a combination of:
Targeted strengthening exercises
Stretching and mobility training
Manual therapy (when appropriate)
Activity modification
Ergonomic advice
A gradual return to daily activities or sports
Early physiotherapy not only helps reduce pain but also improves strength, restores function, and minimizes the risk of recurrence.
If your elbow pain persists for more than a few days, affects your daily activities, or keeps coming back, don't ignore it. Consult a qualified physiotherapist for a thorough assessment and a personalized rehabilitation plan.
