PTM red flags parent miss..

Sometimes repeated concerns about attention, learning, behaviour, communication or classroom performance can be signals that a child needs a closer look and not a label.

A PTM should not just be about “How are the marks?”
It should be about asking:

What is making learning difficult for this child?

Early identification can help us understand the why behind the behaviour and provide the right support before difficulties become bigger barriers.

Listen to the concern. Look beyond the behaviour. Understand the child. 🤍

📌 Save this for your next PTM.
📤 Share it with a parent or teacher who needs to hear this.

🚨 Most children don’t need “more time.” They need earlier identification.
Every year I meet families who were told, “Let’s wait and see.” Unfortunately, waiting often means missing the window when intervention can make the biggest difference.
It was a privilege to speak to educators on the importance of recognising the early signs of Autism, ADHD and Learning Disabilities, because awareness in schools can change a child’s future.
Early identification isn’t about giving a label.
It’s about giving a child the right support at the right time.
If you’re a parent or educator and something doesn’t feel right, trust your observations. Seeking guidance early can make all the difference.

Honoured. Grateful. Inspired 🏆✨
Receiving the SGT Alumni Mental Health Ambassador Award at the School Mental Health Conclave 2026 is a moment I will always cherish.
As a Child & Adolescent Psychologist, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of children and families over the past 11 years. This recognition is not just an award, it is a reminder of the responsibility we all share in making mental health support accessible, evidence-based, and an integral part of every child’s journey.
It was an honour to be recognized by and .india , and to engage with eminent experts including Dr. Jitendra Nagpal, Prof. (Dr.) Monika Srivastava, Prof. B. J. Rao, Dr. Krishan Kumar, Dr. Naveen Kumar, Prof. Ritu Sharma, Shri Devendra Kumar Sharma, and Smt. Rina Sonowal Kouli, along with distinguished representatives from and
My heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has trusted me with their child’s journey. Every milestone belongs as much to the families I work with as it does to me.
Here’s to continuing to advocate for early intervention, inclusive education, and better mental health support for every child. 💙
Because every child deserves to be understood before they are judged.

One day your child will not remember the toys 💔

They won’t remember the expensive gifts.

They may not even remember every word you said.

But they’ll remember something far more important:

“My Dad was there for me.” ❤️

The father who attended therapy sessions.
The father who waited outside appointments.
The father who showed up to school meetings.
The father who worried silently at night.

To every dad doing his best, even when nobody notices—

We see you.

Because children don’t need perfect fathers.

They need fathers who are present.

❤️ Happy Father’s Day from HealG – A Child Clini-ic.

🚨 Your child’s screen addiction may not start with their phone.

It may start with yours.

We tell our children:
❌ “switch off the tv.”
❌ “No screens during dinner.”
❌ “Stop watching youtube”

But what do they see?

A parent scrolling while talking.
A phone at the dining table.
Notifications interrupting family time.

Children don't learn from instructions.
They learn from observation.

Before reducing your child's screen time, take a look at your own.

Because children copy your habits, not your advice.

💜 If this may made you pause and reflect, save it for later.

To every parent raising a child,
I know there are days when you worry about the future.
You wonder if your child will be understood.
If they will find friends who accept them.
If the world will be kind to them.
If they will be able to navigate life independently.
And sometimes, when nobody is watching, you wonder:

“Am I doing enough?”
But today, I want you to pause for a moment.
Look beyond the therapy sessions.
Look beyond the school meetings.
Look beyond the reports, labels, and diagnoses.

Look at your child.

The child who laughs.
The child who loves.
The child who dreams.
The child who is trying every single day.

Your child does not need to become someone else to be worthy.
They deserve acceptance.
They deserve opportunities.
They deserve belonging.

And most importantly, they deserve to know that they are loved exactly as they are.
This Neurodiversity Pride Week, let’s celebrate every unique mind and every parent walking this journey with courage, patience, and hope.

💙 If this resonates with you, save this post for the days when self-doubt creeps in.

💙 And share it with another parent who needs this reminder today.

A child cried because Pluto was no longer part of the solar system ❤️
What touched me wasn’t the science.
It was how deeply children feel themes like belonging, exclusion, fairness, and connection.
Sometimes children don’t just learn about the world.
They feel it.

What is something your child once said that stayed with you?
Tell me in your comments..

“Your child needs more than just good grades.
They also need confidence, communication, creativity, and exposure.” 👀✨
As a child psychologist, one thing I’ve noticed over the years is this:
When children are encouraged to explore their interests from a young age, they often grow into more confident, expressive, and emotionally secure individuals 🌱

That’s why I genuinely recommend 💛

From public speaking and music to art, coding, chess, and more, TalentGum gives children a space to build real-world skills, express themselves freely, and discover what they truly enjoy - all in a fun and interactive way ✨

While academics are important, children also need opportunities to build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and self-expression beyond the classroom.

Parents, what’s one skill you wish schools focused on more? 👇
