Mentoring early-career clinicians is one of the most rewarding responsibilities in clinical practice. At SAARTHI 2026, that responsibility took center stage.

The conference was the visionary brain-child of Dr. Sachin, and I was honored by his invitation to serve as a Chairperson and mentor for the event. Bringing this platform from concept to reality to support the next generation of mental health professionals is an exceptional achievement.

Sharing the dais as a mentor alongside stalwart colleague Dr. Samir Parikh (Fortis Healthcare) to guide young psychiatrists was a privilege. In clinical practice—both in tertiary hospital settings at Paras Health and through patient consultations at Manokriti—one truth is evident: clinical acumen is only half the journey. Young doctors need candid, grounded mentorship on building sustainable practices, navigating early career choices, and sustaining clinical empathy.

My deepest gratitude to Dr. Sachin for the kind invitation and leadership, to Dr. Samir Parikh for an enriching exchange, and to every young psychiatrist whose openness made the room come alive.

The conference has concluded, but the mentorship, clarity, and connections forged will carry forward.

It was a privilege to be invited to speak on Mental Health Awareness and Stress Management as part of the celebrations marking LIC’s 70th anniversary.
The session explored an increasingly important aspect of modern life — understanding stress, recognising its early warning signs, and adopting practical strategies to protect our mental and emotional well-being.

Mental health is not merely the absence of illness. It is about developing resilience, maintaining healthy relationships, managing stress effectively, and knowing when to seek help.

Prevention begins with awareness. Sometimes, small and consistent changes in the way we sleep, work, connect, communicate, and care for ourselves can have a profound impact on our overall well-being.

Grateful for the opportunity to engage in such a meaningful conversation and to contribute, in a small way, towards making mental health a more open and accessible part of everyday healthcare.

Honoured to have been invited as a Chairperson at MIDCIPS 2026 for an engaging AI Workshop.

It was a privilege to be part of an insightful academic discussion exploring the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and psychiatry, and its potential to enhance clinical practice, research, and patient care.

Grateful to the organisers and fellow colleagues for the opportunity and for the enriching exchange of ideas.
A meaningful experience at the intersection of Psychiatry, Technology and the Future of Mental Healthcare.

Grateful and honored to have served as Chairperson for the session on “Optimizing Alcohol Withdrawal Management” at the IAPP Chandigarh & Punjab Chapter 2026 meeting.
It was a privilege to chair the session alongside Dr. Mahesh Desai and to engage with the insightful presentation delivered by Dr. Raghav Shah (DM Addiction Psychiatry) on this highly relevant aspect of addiction psychiatry.
My sincere thanks to Dr. Ashish Sharma, General Secretary, for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to this enriching academic forum. The session fostered valuable discussions on evidence-based approaches to alcohol withdrawal management and highlighted the importance of continued learning and collaboration in psychiatric practice.
Academic interactions such as these reinforce our shared commitment to improving patient care and advancing the field of mental health.

This week has been truly incredible and deeply meaningful. 🌸
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I had the privilege of conducting a health talk on Stress Management for Female Police Officers. The dedication, resilience, and strength these women bring to both their profession and their families is truly inspiring.
I also had the opportunity to meet DCP Panchkula, Ms Srishti Gupta, and we had a wonderful discussion about the importance of balancing the demands of work and family life — something so many women strive to navigate every day. Her insights and commitment to supporting her team were admirable.
Adding to the joy of this week was our Tricity Women Psychiatrists Meet, where I connected with wonderful seniors and colleagues including Dr. Savita, Dr. Simmi, and others. The interactive session was enriching, full of thoughtful discussions, shared experiences, and collective learning.
Moments like these remind me why mental health advocacy and collaboration are so important. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, share, and grow with such inspiring women.
Here’s to supporting each other, empowering women, and prioritizing mental well-being — today and every day. ✨
