It was a privilege to be part of this academic gathering, engaging in meaningful discussions and sharing experiences with esteemed colleagues and experts in the field of nephrology and peritoneal dialysis.

My sincere thanks to the organising committee and all the organisers of PDSICON 2026 for the kind invitation and for providing me with the opportunity to chair the session.

Honoured and privileged to be part of ISNEZCON 2026 at Imphal, Manipur, as a Faculty Speaker and Chairperson.

It was a wonderful opportunity to deliver a talk on “Indications of Renal Biopsy in Diabetic Patients with Renal Disease”, discussing the important clinical clues that help differentiate diabetic kidney disease from non-diabetic kidney disease (NDKD) and guide the decision for renal biopsy.

Also had the privilege of chairing an academic session, with stimulating discussions and valuable insights from eminent colleagues.

Grateful to the organisers, chairpersons, faculty members, and delegates for the warm hospitality and excellent academic experience.

🌿 A Special Milestone in Kidney Transplantation at Medanta Patna 🌿

Today is a truly special and memorable day for our transplant team.

We are delighted to discharge two kidney transplant recipients along with their donors— all four together on Post-Transplant Day 6, with excellent graft function and stable clinical condition. 🙏

❤️ Transplant 1:
A younger sister donated her kidney to her elder sister — a beautiful example of sibling love and sacrifice.

❤️ Transplant 2:
A wife donated her kidney to her husband — a profound expression of love, commitment and togetherness.

For the first time, we are able to discharge both recipients and both donors together on Day 6, with excellent graft function. This is a wonderful achievement and a moment of immense satisfaction for all of us.

👏 Heartfelt congratulations and sincere thanks to the entire Kidney Transplant Team at Medanta Patna—the nephrology, urology, transplant surgery, anaesthesia, nursing, ICU, OT, coordinators and support teams—for their dedication, teamwork and tireless efforts.

🙏 Most importantly, our deepest respect goes to the two donors for their selfless decision to give the gift of life.

Wishing all four of them a healthy, happy and fulfilling life ahead. 🌸

Together, we don’t just transplant kidneys—we restore hope, families and lives. ❤️
