There is a beautiful phase in Bahgwad Geeta that says..
Detachment owns nothing.
It means nothing own you.
असंशयं महाबाहो मनो दुर्निग्रहं चलम्। अभ्यासेन तु कौन्तेय वैराग्येण च गृह्यते॥
Meaning: Lord Krishna says the restless mind is indeed difficult to control, but it can be subdued through constant practice and detachment (vairagya).
Detachment is not indifference. It is inner freedom—the ability to remain calm, balanced, and peaceful whether life gives or takes away. That is one of the central messages of the Bhagavad Gita.
