Asalamu alaikum dear audiance
Time Never Stops... But One Day, We Do
When I was a child studying in the fifth or seventh grade, my village was full of elderly people. They were the respected faces of our community, the people we believed would always be there. Today, at the age of 31, I look around and realise that hardly any of them are still alive. One generation quietly departs, and another takes its place. This is the unchanging law of Allah. We witness it every day, yet we often live as though our own turn will never come.
Life is astonishingly short. Every passing day brings us closer to our meeting with Allah. Wealth, fame, and worldly achievements will remain behind, but every second spent in obedience to Allah, every sincere prayer, every act of kindness, and every good deed will accompany us into the Hereafter.
Allah Almighty reminds us in the Qur'an:
«"By Time. Indeed, mankind is in loss, except those who believe, do righteous deeds, encourage one another to the truth, and encourage one another to patience." (Surah Al-'Asr 103:1–3)»
And Allah also says:
«"Every soul shall taste death, and you will only be given your full compensation on the Day of Resurrection." (Surah Aal 'Imran 3:185)»
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
«"Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before your busyness, and your life before your death." (Al-Hakim)»
He ﷺ also said:
«"There are two blessings which many people waste: health and free time." (Sahih al-Bukhari)»
Let us not allow our precious moments to disappear in distractions that bring no benefit. Every minute is a gift from Allah and an opportunity to earn His pleasure. May Allah make us among those who value their time, fill it with righteous deeds, and meet Him with hearts that are pleased and accepted. Ameen. Part 1
