Interesting Case: Electric Maculopathy Following Electrocution Injury

Sharing an interesting case of electric maculopathy.

A patient presented 2.5 months after an electrocution injury with a BCVA of 6/60. Clinical examination and OCT findings were suggestive of electric maculopathy (images attached).

The patient was managed conservatively with oral steroids, topical nepafenac, and topical dorzolamide for 1 month.

At follow-up, the BCVA improved to 6/12, with corresponding anatomical improvement on OCT.
