Wandering for Wellness

Wandering for Wellness Travel , Lifestyle & Wellness Writer| Body Positivity blogger| Wellness isn’t just about having a fit body, 6 pack abs or fitting in.

It’s more about feeling well, feeling healthy, waking up fresh and accepting your body for what it really is despite your love handles, cellulite and fine lines and who you really are.. I’ve learnt that its very important to enjoy the finer things in life. No one wants to live a life of deprivation and starvation. The way we see it, wellness is a journey you embark on one day at a time. You should

allow yourself that glass of wine on the weekend and a few squares of dark chocolate and truly savour it without feeling guilty about it. We wanted to incorporate all the different facets of wellness- emotional, physical, spiritual and find holistic solutions to achieving peace, balance and finding joy in everyday things.

If you have been feeling like a dimmer version of yourself, I want you to know that is not who you are. That is what happens when you have been giving too much for too long without anyone really asking how you are doing.

I’ve been there on more than one occasion. The version of me that was tired in a way that sleep could not fix. That was going through the motions and wondering why nothing felt exciting anymore.

I had to figure it out slowly, messily, through a lot of honesty I had been avoiding. And what I found on the other side was not some perfect, healed version of myself. One who had finally stopped apologising for needing rest, space, and a little gentleness.

To more intentional movement sessions, to rest when the body asks of it, to practice discernment with projects and the company you keep and to continue to create for art’s sake.

I put a smidge of everything I learned into this carousel. Swipe through slowly. Take what you need. Leave what does not apply yet. Sending you a giant hug 🫂

To my fellow over thinkers and overfeelers, please get your videos out of your drafts. I promise people are rooting for you and they are waiting to see your work even in the in between stages🥺🩵

I promised myself I would let myself ramble even if it’s for 5 people who are tuning in or taking the time to listen. To post these thoughts because I’m trying to explore what it means to be seen, to be perceived, especially on these platforms again. If you’ve gotten this far, your people will find you. It’s not too late to build on your sense of community. I’m sending you a giant squishy hug 🫂 notes to myself, reflections, career breaks

i’ve been wanting to talk about this and bring it up again because I see a lot of friends in their late 30s and early 40s in similar situations. You’ll see me talking about this a fair bit in the next few weeks.
This has been lying in my drafts for a long time and these are just some of the reasons for my career breaks in the past but the reasons are varied and can be many not mentioned here. Your reasons for wanting a career break can be very different 🫂🫂

If you’re in a period of transition and you’re in a space where you feel comfortable enough to chat about it, please feel free to reach out 🫶 I promise you’re not alone and there are ways to make this in-between state feel less crummy.

Sending you a big squishy hug ♥️🤍

Creatively, i’m in a phase of rebuilding, unlearning + learning, and strengthening my voice, and after what feels like forever, I’m enjoying the journey🤞🪬.

So much writing, reading, learning happening behind the scenes but a lot of this work isn’t visible. This can feel somewhat frustrating but I’m learning to stick with the discomfort.

These words and moments I saved felt like gentle nudges to keep going and stay optimistic about what lies ahead. Sometimes the most beautiful chapters begin quietly, and as they, everything, in time☺️🫶🧿

I’m often asked if I would pick the beach, mountains or the jungle and I think now at 37 my answer will be the jungle. It’s where I go to think. To be quiet. To be humbled.

Dusk in the jungle is always unreal, but in Kenya it was something else. it was the reminder that the quiet, the majestic, the wild… it’s still out there.
we’re moving so fast. so focused on the next thing that we forget to look up.

here’s to slowing down. to experiencing the natural world around us. to respecting it. to actually listening to the sounds of the jungle instead of just passing through. here’s to not taking a single second of it for granted. 🥺

2026 is moving at full speed and honestly, I’m choosing to slow down on purpose🦥
Every time the world picks up pace, I come back to the things that ground me in the now. A lot of reading, writing, long walks when the weather allows it, humming and singing, doing some difficult things and showing up for yourself, every chance you get.

If you’re a creative who is currently trying to navigate her space in a world that feels loud and incredibly crowded, please don’t hide your words or your art. There’s space for you. There are rooms you haven’t entered yet and people waiting to hear your story 💌

Moments from Varkala where, after a long time, I chose to see with my own eyes rather than through a screen.
Sound baths, barefoot moments, sunset walks, thali lunches, time to write and to play, late-night swims, yin yoga sessions, morning pages and the most incredible Ayurvedic potli massage with V🪐🪬 Belly full of coconut water to beat the heat and the most wholesome interactions with small business owners.
Returning to Kerala reminded me how powerful revisiting a place can be 🌴🌀🦋💌🪬
