If you have been feeling like a dimmer version of yourself, I want you to know that is not who you are. That is what happens when you have been giving too much for too long without anyone really asking how you are doing.
I’ve been there on more than one occasion. The version of me that was tired in a way that sleep could not fix. That was going through the motions and wondering why nothing felt exciting anymore.
I had to figure it out slowly, messily, through a lot of honesty I had been avoiding. And what I found on the other side was not some perfect, healed version of myself. One who had finally stopped apologising for needing rest, space, and a little gentleness.
To more intentional movement sessions, to rest when the body asks of it, to practice discernment with projects and the company you keep and to continue to create for art’s sake.
I put a smidge of everything I learned into this carousel. Swipe through slowly. Take what you need. Leave what does not apply yet. Sending you a giant hug 🫂
